We recently connected with Breonna Granto and have shared our conversation below.
Breonna, appreciate you joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
I’ve never really thought to myself, “What if I started my business sooner or later?”. I truly believe everything happens in divine timing. I started my business almost two years ago on a whim. I was selling charcuterie boards for fun really. It gave me an outlet to express myself. A few months leading up to the decision to sell my craft, I had randomly become fascinated with making charcuterie boards. I was making them at every get-together, and because of the voice in my head of my friends constantly telling me to sell them, one day something sparked in me and I finally got the urge to go for it. Honestly, it feels like that was just yesterday. It’s so funny because as boring as that sounds, my journey throughout this passion has actually been so deep and special to me. When I was a few holidays in with selling boards, I realized something very powerful that brought me back a few years, something that told me back then that this passion was coming before I knew what it was. In the years leading up to the start of my business, I began to notice how moved I was when I would see colors, colorful art, colorful graffiti, colorful flowers, nature, and trees, and all of these things made me feel so alive and full. It may sound like it has no connection at all, but during this time for some reason, I had this feeling in my heart that my love for colors and art was connected to my purpose in life, and when I remembered this time a few years ago, I remembered something I had posted on my Instagram and ran to it because I knew I posted it with a caption that to me truly expressed my feelings and something substantial in my journey of life. The post was a picture of colorful graffiti and the caption reads “The things that excite you are not random. They are connected to your purpose. Follow them.” This was such an awe moment for me, and may not sound like much but this moment has kept me grounded in my passion ever since. So I never really allow myself to dwell on what if’s, because I know that everything is in divine timing.
Breonna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Breonna Granto, and I am the soul behind Grapes & Grazes LLC. I was raised in New York but have lived in Florida for 15 years now! I am a very passionate person and my friends and family are my world. I try to look at life with optimism. I think one of my biggest focuses has always been to enjoy the journey, and to really look inside myself to make sure I am happy. I believe that this outlook has made me appreciate life abundantly. Aside from my rants on life and happiness, I love being creative and Grapes & Grazes has definitely given me a new purpose. I want Grapes and Grazes to be known for creating uniquely beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards and grazing tables for every special memory. I may be a one-woman show, but I am always giving my absolute all to make sure my customers have the best experience when they book with me. Something I take pride in is listening and putting true effort into the displays I create for others. I want my customers to be excited about the services they are spending their money on, I want them to have a custom experience and feel like their order was made perfectly for them. I want to build something special with Grapes & Grazes, something that is not just alluring to the eye. We all deserve the full package. I know all too well what it feels like to not be heard or understood, so one of my greatest goals in life is to make sure anyone who crosses my path, leaves my presence with something positive and fulfilling.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I think that being true to myself and respecting my clients, their wishes, and their time, has really helped me grow my clientele. I think that how you make someone feel speaks volumes. Some may think that the outcome or the product they are selling is what’s most important, but to me, it’s every single moment from our initial conversation to our last conversation. I don’t know that I would call it a strategy, but be yourself, be genuine, and have others’ best interests at heart. That is what has worked for me.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Honestly, word of mouth and relation has been the best source of new clientele for Grapes & Grazes. I guess that would go without saying social media as well. I can easily tell you that all of my inquiries are from someone who heard about me through a recommendation or through experiencing or seeing a charcuterie board or grazes I have done for a friend, acquaintance, or family member.
