Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Breonna Baker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Breonna, appreciate you joining us today. We love asking folks what they would do differently if they were starting today – how they would speed up the process, etc. We’d love to hear how you would set everything up if you were to start from step 1 today
When I first launched Bre Brands Consulting under the umbrella of Streamline Media Agency, I was full of passion and promise—but not yet power. Like many new entrepreneurs, I was eager to build, eager to prove myself, and—if I’m being honest—eager to be liked.
So I charged low.
I gave discounts.
I overdelivered, underpriced, and quietly hoped someone would see my value.
They did.
But not always the right ones.
The truth? I discounted myself because I hadn’t yet stepped fully into the value I bring. I thought I had to “earn” my worth by being the affordable option. But in hindsight, I see that I wasn’t just offering lower prices—I was lowering the standard.
If I had to do it all over again, things would look very different.
Act I – The Foundation Would Be Stronger
I would start with value-based pricing—not hourly rates.
No more “just starting out” discounts. I’d charge what my services are worth, based on the transformation I provide, not the time it takes me to do it. The right clients respect that. The others were never mine to begin with.
I’d build signature offers around the real results I deliver—simple, scalable, and strategic. No more customized chaos or trying to be everything to everyone. I’d lead with clarity.
Act II – Systems, Boundaries, and Brand Power
From day one, I’d invest in systems and SOPs that save me time and give my clients consistency. Instead of flying by the seat of my inbox, I’d run my business like a business.
And I’d build a premium brand presence—clean, professional, and aligned. No apologizing for prices, no DM deals. Just strong offers, strong outcomes, and strong visuals to match.
I’d set boundaries—clear contracts, communication expectations, timelines. Not because I’m rigid, but because I finally understand: boundaries are what keep the work beautiful, and the business sustainable.
Act III – A CEO, Not Just a Consultant
Most importantly, I’d see myself not as someone offering a service—but as a CEO building a legacy.
I’d stop waiting for the economy to tell me when I can grow, and instead raise my prices in alignment with my evolution and the market. As inflation rises, so does my worth. I grow as the economy grows.
No more apologizing. No more shrinking. No more discounts.
The Moral of the Story
The biggest lesson I’ve learned?
Don’t discount yourself for others.
You teach people how to treat your business by the way you price it, speak about it, and stand behind it.
If I had to start over, I’d do it with confidence, clarity, and an unshakable commitment to my worth.
Because now I know:
Striving for greatness doesn’t mean striving for approval—it means striving for alignment.
And the right clients don’t need discounts.
They need results.
Breonna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Bre—the founder of Streamline Media Agency and the driving force behind Bre Brands Consulting. I’m a creative strategist, brand builder, and business growth consultant who’s passionate about helping entrepreneurs, creatives, and vision-driven professionals show up boldly, clearly, and profitably.
But my journey into this space wasn’t textbook. It was personal.
I started out in this industry from a place of curiosity and hunger. I was always the go-to person for friends and colleagues who needed help getting their vision out of their head and into the world—whether it was building a brand, launching an offer, or finally creating the content they’d been sitting on for months. Over time, I realized I didn’t just have a knack for strategy—I had a gift for helping people find their voice and elevate their brand in a way that actually moves the needle.
So I turned that gift into a business.
What I Do
Under Streamline Media Agency, I offer a suite of services designed to amplify brands, clarify messaging, and streamline growth. Through Bre Brands Consulting, I work more intimately with entrepreneurs and founders to help them build businesses that are not only profitable—but also aligned.
Here’s how I serve:
Brand Strategy & Development: From concept to clarity—positioning, identity, and messaging that connect.
Consulting & Coaching: For founders ready to shift from DIY to CEO—business audits, offer refinement, pricing strategy, and growth roadmaps.
Content Strategy & Digital Presence: Helping brands show up consistently, professionally, and powerfully across platforms.
Workshops & Speaking: I facilitate brand-building sessions for communities, organizations, and events that empower entrepreneurs to stop playing small.
What Problems I Solve
You’re undercharging, unsure how to raise your rates or clarify your value.
Your brand looks “okay” but doesn’t represent the excellence of your work.
You’re posting content, but it’s not converting—there’s no strategy behind it.
You’re stuck in the freelancer grind, and you want to build something that actually scales.
What I bring is clarity, structure, and strategy—paired with a creative edge that makes your brand feel as premium as the work you deliver.
What Sets Me Apart
I’ve been where my clients are. I didn’t come from money, connections, or a marketing degree. I built this from the ground up by learning what works, adapting fast, and refusing to settle. That gives me a level of relatability and realness that makes my clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
I don’t do fluff. I do results. I bring heart and hustle—but I also bring systems and strategy. That balance is what sets Bre Brands apart.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m proud that I’ve grown this business through integrity, grit, and vision. That I’ve learned to stop discounting my worth, and now help others do the same. I’m proud of every client who’s left our work together with a clearer vision, higher prices, better clients, and renewed confidence.
I’m proud of becoming the kind of leader I used to look for.
What I Want You to Know
This isn’t just about business. It’s about ownership—of your story, your vision, and your value.
Whether you’re just starting or scaling, if you’re tired of doing it the hard way and ready to streamline, grow, and glow—you’re in the right place.
Welcome to Streamline Media Agency.
Welcome to Bre Brands Consulting.
Let’s build something that feels as good as it looks—and pays what it’s worth.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In early 2020, I was working steadily with small business clients in a digital media support role. Most of them were brick-and-mortar businesses—boutiques, salons, and nonprofits—who needed help getting their services online. When the pandemic hit, several of them had to pause or shut down altogether. Almost overnight, I lost a significant portion of my client base. It felt like the rug was pulled from under me.
Instead of giving up, I used the downtime to pivot. I doubled down on learning—took courses in instructional design and online learning, polished up my video editing skills, and started producing more educational content. I also began offering virtual workshops for entrepreneurs on how to create digital products, set up e-commerce, and use social media for online sales.
That pivot didn’t just save my business; it expanded it. I went from serving a handful of local clients to supporting entrepreneurs and educators in multiple states. It also sparked my interest in instructional design, which eventually led to me pursuing new career opportunities in learning and development.
Pivoting isn’t just about survival—it’s often a setup for the next level of purpose and impact.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One powerful lesson I had to unlearn was this: “Being busy means being productive.”
The backstory:
In the early years of building my business and balancing a full-time job, I wore “busy” like a badge of honor. My days were packed from sunrise to well past midnight—emails, meetings, client work, content creation, volunteering, and trying to show up on social media daily. On paper, it looked like I was killing it. But internally, I was exhausted, scattered, and often felt like I was moving in circles.
The wake-up call came during a season when I hit burnout hard. A mentor asked me a simple but game-changing question: “You’re doing a lot, but are you actually moving toward what matters most?” That stung. Because the truth was—I wasn’t. I had confused activity with impact.
So I started unlearning the hustle-for-the-sake-of-hustle mindset. I began setting clearer priorities, aligning my tasks with my goals, and giving myself permission to rest without guilt. That shift didn’t just change my schedule—it changed my quality of life and increased my effectiveness in both business and ministry.
Unlearning busyness taught me that peace and purpose are better measures of success than a packed calendar.
