We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Breona Carter. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Breona below.
Breona, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Taking a risk is part of the journey, and one that stands out in the “Life With Bre” narrative is when I decided to transition from my regular content to more vulnerable, personal storytelling. The backstory revolves around recognizing the need for a deeper connection with my audience. I felt an internal pull to share more personal stories, struggles, and triumphs.
The circumstances were a mix of self-reflection and a genuine desire to create a more meaningful impact. It was a risk because it meant exposing more of my authentic self, complete with vulnerabilities. The fear of potential judgment and the unknown reaction from my audience was very real.
I took the plunge by gradually incorporating personal narratives into my content. It turned out to be a transformative decision. The audience response was overwhelmingly positive. The vulnerability resonated, creating a stronger bond with my community. It not only strengthened the brand’s authenticity but also fostered a deeper connection with my audience. This risk not only paid off in terms of engagement but also in creating a space where genuine, open conversations could thrive.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello, lovely readers! I’m Breona, but I go by Bre. I am the heart and soul behind “Life With Bre.” As a 21-year-old navigating the twists and turns of adulthood, I embarked on this journey with a simple mission—to create a warm, supportive space for other women on this same journey as me.
What sets “Life With Bre” apart is the intentional curation of content that transcends the surface. I offer a genuine, relatable perspective on life’s challenges, sharing stories, tips, and experiences that resonate with the young women in my community. The brand is not just about content; it’s about fostering a sense of connection, providing guidance, and being a reliable companion through the ups and downs of early adulthood.
In terms of my content, I use various platforms, primarily TikTok and Instagram, to engage with my audience. The brand persona is carefully crafted, with a warm and approachable tone, fostering an atmosphere of friendship, positivity, and humor.
At the heart of “Life With Bre” is the commitment to providing a space where women can find support, connection, and inspiration. I take pride in curating content that not only brings joy but also addresses the challenges of young adulthood, offering genuine advice and relatable experiences.
What I want you to know is that “Life With Bre” is more than just a brand—it’s a community. Whether you’re seeking encouragement, a good laugh, or a virtual hug, this space is for you.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is the ability to express myself authentically and share my unique perspective to the world. When I am able to share something that resonates with others and spark connections, it makes being a creative uniquely reward! Creativity allows for continuous growth, learning and the freedom to explore different perspectives. The connection with my audience, my clients, and personal sense of accomplishment, are truly rewarding elements of the creative process.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Non-creatives might struggle to understand the emotional investment, creative process, and adaptability.
1. Emotional Investment: Building any brand requires investing deep emotions, personal experiences, and authentic aspects of yourself into the work. You have to accept that it may take YEARS to be where you truly want to be and it is very easy to get discouraged, but it’s important to remember that it is all apart of the journey and eventually all the hard work, sleepless nights, and tears will pay off!
2. Creative Process: The creative journey involves way more than just showing up to do a job or just pressing record and uploading. What people don’t see is all the hard work behind the scenes. Non-creatives might fully not appreciate the constant flow of ideas and the hours spent generating content. It may sound like a hassle for some but it’s all apart of the process.
3. Adaptability: This is so vital on the journey of being a creative. Life happens and you have to be prepared to adapt quickly to new circumstances or changes in audience feedback. It’s important to adjust maybe the content strategy over time based on what resonates with the audience and the process is ever-going and changing.
