Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brenna Hayes. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brenna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business (New Season New Day Coaching and Mentoring) from my life experiences. I had recently left a difficult marriage and was starting a new chapter of my life. I took time after my divorce to really find out who I am and how I want to spend the rest of my life. I knew that the experiences I’d been through (the losses of several loved ones and leaving an abusive marriage) and the lessons I learned from them could help someone going through similar situations. While I knew I could share my story on an informal basis, I believed that starting a business would expose me to more potential clients. What got me most excited about the idea of starting a coaching business was the fact that I could help people struggling with life challenges and use my life as an example of someone who has come out on the other side of difficulties much stronger and better. Helping people has always been important to me.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Transformational Life Coach with New Season New Day Coaching and Mentoring. I offer individual and group coaching as well as online courses in the areas of finding one’s life purpose (especially after a life transition), goal setting, divorce recovery, grief recovery, and leadership development. What sets me apart from others is my training in coaching and counseling, as well as my experience in project management (I am a certified project manager as well) to help people discover or re-discover who they are, what their purpose is, and how they can set goals that are in line with their true purpose. I am most proud of serving as a mentor to my clients and watching them achieve their goals and become the persons they desire to be. I am a teacher at heart, and it is fulfilling for me to see my clients experience success and transform their lives!

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I keep in touch with clients via a weekly e-newsletter that I publish on Mondays. In this newsletter, I love to share tips and strategies that can help past and potential clients get and stay motivated and remind them of their potential for success. I also enjoy sharing success stories so my readers can remember that if other people can be successful after facing challenges, so can they! Periodically, I will share information about my offers and promotions, but the main purpose of the newsletter is to inspire, educate and encourage.
I also keep in touch by sharing inspirational quotes on my social media pages (Facebook, IG and Twitter).
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
One of the most important things that has built my reputation within my market is the testimonials and referrals from past clients. My past coaching clients have shared from first-hand experience how working with me as a coach and mentor has changed their lives. They are happy to refer others to me who are looking for my services, and I may offer an incentive to them for their referrals.
