We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brenna Govea. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brenna below.
Alright, Brenna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
I can name so many blessings i’ve received. But, the one I am deeply grateful and thankful for is not only someone taking a chance to use me as a model for them via recommendation from someone else I worked with, but then also 1. becoming a close and dear friend, 2. become what I think would be my mentor in a lot of ways, to then 3. creating my entire modeling website for me!
Having someone believe in you more than you believe in yourself sometimes is truly something I will never take for granted.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Brenna, I’m a dedicated freelance model based in Fort Worth, Tx. I have over three years of experience in the modeling industry. From a young age, I’ve always felt at home in front of the camera, thanks to my early acting classes, which helped me develop a natural ease and confidence that I now bring to every shoot. My journey in modeling has been one of self-discovery and artistic expression, allowing me to explore a variety of creative styles, though I hold a special affinity for fine art modeling.
I’m passionate about pushing the boundaries of creativity in my work, always looking for new ways to express art through modeling. My approach is to blend creativity with a strong work ethic, ensuring that every project I’m a part of reaches its full potential. I believe that modeling is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to connect with others and create something truly special.
Working with me means collaborating with someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a fun vibe to the set. I’m known for my easy-going nature and ability to take direction well, making the process smooth and enjoyable for everyone involved. My goal is to not only deliver stunning results but to also ensure that the journey to those results is a positive experience for all.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with esteemed brands like Nikon and several local names in my city. These experiences have shaped me into a versatile model who thrives in different environments, whether it’s a high-energy commercial shoot or a serene, artistic project. My ability to adapt to various styles and concepts, while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude, makes working with me not only productive but also genuinely enjoyable.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Personally I think everyone on social media has their own “group” that they follow. I think what is most important is posting things that best reflect who you TRULY are, what you enjoy doing, creating, learning. My social media has watched me transition through many life journeys, and I feel that I’ve created an entire community and family by being open and sharing my life.
Yes, everyone loves a pretty face, and body… but life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. We are ALL human, and I feel your following really loves when they get to find a ‘human’ like way to relate to you in the rawness you share on your social media.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Modeling is simply not just as delicate as posing for a photo.
Being able to “act natural” In-front of a camera doesn’t come easily for everyone, then add posing into the mix and it can be quiet stressful for the model and the photographer as well.
If you’re thinking about starting to model you most definitely can’t just assume you’ll get gigs because you’re pretty or have a nice body, etc..
A lot of your first shoots will be TFP (time for pictures) its an exchange between a model and a photographer that helps both of them grow their portfolio. You give the photographer your time by posing, modeling, etc.. and in exchange they give you a set amount of photos they took.
The more TFP shoots you can land the better. You build your portfolio, get to practice posing and get a sense of where you are as a model, and you’re not wasting you own time or money nor a photographers since you both agreed to it.
Who knows, maybe even after you do just one or two TFP’s you can rethink your idea of becoming a model and decide if it truly is or isn’t for you.
