We recently connected with Brendan Burke and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brendan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I was the one who started the Christian Music Bros Podcast. Because I loved Christian music and thought it was amazing, I asked Bradden, my old cohost who was working with me at NewReleaseToday at the time, whether he would like to co-host a Christian music podcast. Bradden consented to participate in the show. We began by discussing music, track by track, from albums. TobyMac’s “Life After Death” and Riley Clemmons’ “Godsend” were among the other CDs we talked about. Many of these albums were a lot of fun to discuss.
Flash forward to 2022, I attended Winter Jam where I ran into Sean Rodriguez and I was telling him about the podcast. I asked him if he ever wanted to join, we would love to have him. Sean said yes and thats how we started with the artist interviews. We’ve had many great guests such as Seph Schlueter, Natalie Layne, Seventh Day Slumber, and Iveth Luna to name a few.
I have done many fun episodes such as Christian Music Jeopardy, a worship song roundtable, and Christian Music Superlatives as well. There have many soooooo many fun episodes that enriched this podcast experience. However, the one that I will always remember that will be meaningful for me will be the special I edited. It’s called “Finding Hope In The Darkness.” I got many of my podcast friends/artists to share a message of hope to the listeners of the podcast. We had a great number of submissions from CJ English, Nick Detty, and Kate Stanford to name a few. I wanted to offer some inspiration for others who were in a dark place, and it ended up being a very dear project to me.
I have more special projects that I’m working. on for 2025 but I can’t share what those are quite yet.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Supporting fellow creatives is essential for building a vibrant and thriving community. One of the most impactful ways to show your support is by purchasing their merchandise. Whether it’s a piece of clothing, artwork, or any other product, buying their merch not only provides financial support but also helps in spreading their brand and message.
Engaging with their social media posts is another powerful way to show your appreciation. Liking, sharing, and commenting on their content can significantly increase their visibility and encourage them to keep creating. Your interactions can make a difference, as they often rely on feedback and engagement from their audience.
Streaming their music is equally important. By listening to their tracks and sharing them with friends, you contribute to their success, helping them reach wider audiences. Every stream counts and can lead to greater opportunities for the artist.
In essence, your support through these actions not only uplifts individual creatives but also strengthens the entire creative community. By actively participating in their journey, you play a vital role in fostering an environment where creativity can thrive.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to hear every guest’s journey/story. God has blessed many people with marvelous backstories and it’s great to hear them. I think that’s the heart of the podcast is listening to others and learning from others.
