We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Breezy Supreme. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Breezy below.
Hi Breezy, thanks for joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Overall I’m happy as artist but I do miss the stable income of having a regular job. I quit my job to pursue music full time and it’s definitely a struggle because you have to dump a lot of money into your career in order to really see the results you want or to be able to create on the level you want to create on.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Breezy Supreme and I’m a rock artist from the Washington DC area. I got into music from playing Skateboard games and watching 2000’s Teen movies. I think what makes me different is my sound is influenced by more than just rock, I incorporate Gogo and hardcore into my sound because they are 2 genres that started in my home city but have rarely been meshed together. My proudest moment I’ve had In my career is that I’m featured in an Punk rock exhibit in the MLK library in downtown DC.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
PAY ARTIST MORE! The payout for artist who are small is literally less than a penny, That’s unacceptable and not even enough to feed the artist who release content thru those platforms who pay so little and make them rich.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I have plenty of goals but the main 1 is to make as much history as possible and to indulge in other forms of entertainment such as Acting, Modeling and creative direction.
