We recently connected with Bree Wolfe and have shared our conversation below.
Bree, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I thought hard on this one. What would encompass who I am, what can bring to the table, and what will my clients need? I love science. I love people. I love to love.
I knew my business would go beyond just skincare and makeup. I wanted it to be a place where my clients felt safe, at home, but walked out with a glowing face and confidence.

Bree, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I always had an interest in makeup. In high school, I was the go-to friend to do hair and makeup for all the dances and events. My senior year, I decided it would be wise to go to trade school, have that under my belt, then continue to college in some sort of medical degree.
I was licensed as an esthetician and 17 years old, moved to Fort Collins to take my pre requisites, where I worked part time at my first spa.
I continued my education in the medical field, started my own businesses, then took a step back when I became a Mom.
Two and a half years ago, I was out celebrating a friends birthday, and reconnected with a friend who was also in the beauty industry.
She had just went out on her own, and had another space open next to her. She jokingly told me I should open up a business again next to her.
I hesitated, as I had still had a baby at home.
I talked it over with my husband and he immediately told me to do it.
With a lot of help and support from my family and friends, Beyond was born.
I get very enthusiastic talking about the human body and our anatomy.
I love teaching others about skin, why it does what it does and how to combat issues that we all can deal with.
I not only enjoy working on my clients, and seeing an improvement, but I genuinely look forward to each individual relationship that I make.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I opened Beyond, I always said that if my business comes before my kids or marriage that I would take a step back. Little did I know, that 1.5 years into business, my marriage would go through a hardship, I would have a severe health flare, and we would move into a new home the week of Christmas.
To most, resilience would look like pushing through and working harder. Instead, I knew that I needed a break. Although it was NOT an easy decision for me to make, I knew it was the healthiest one for my family and I.
I took a two month sabbatical. My clients understood, but they sure were all knockin’ at my door when I got back!

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
After I got licensed, I knew esthetics and makeup would be my side hustle. While still in high school, and living at home, I saved up to buy my first wax pot. I would send my moms friends messages, as well as put on “My Space” that I was offering facial waxing out of my parents house. I would use that income to save up for professional makeup and brushes, so that I could master more makeup techniques.
I started pre requisites for nursing, in pursuit to become a midwife. After years of challenging science courses, I decided it wasn’t for me. I moved back home, I went on to get certified as a birth doula, as well as a childbirth educator.
I started my own business, and had the opportunity to work in many hospitals, and birth centers bringing in over 300 babies!
I also taught classes for local hospitals, as well as private classes, including families who played in the pros for Denver sports teams.
While getting my doula business started, I decided to use our spare bedroom to set up my facial table. I bought the bare minimum to give facials, including using a crockpot for my towel warmer!
Little did I know that 10 years later, that this 18 year long side hustle would turn into what it is today!
