We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bree Lenyaè. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bree below.
Bree, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
It’s really funny when I think about it, because my first client was my ex-boyfriend (lol). He actually bought a bunch of my lip glosses and eyelash extensions for his mother and sister. He even went so far as to post my products on his social media page. It really made me happy to know how much he supported my business and my craft; he’s always been my biggest fan and supporter.

Bree, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Bree, and I reside in Inglewood, California. I launched my women’s accessories business in 2019, driven by a long-held entrepreneurial ambition and a passion for fashion accessories. My then-fiancé provided crucial encouragement and motivation, urging me to leverage my creativity and business acumen. Despite initial procrastination, his persistent support propelled me forward. The challenges inherent in operating a small business, particularly maintaining consistent revenue to fund inventory and operational costs, were significant. However, I persevered, launching with lip gloss and eyelash extensions. My initial lip gloss offerings sold out immediately upon website launch, providing the impetus to continue despite the inherent difficulties. This success, along with consistently sold-out products, fueled my commitment to the venture. Till this very day, my products, especially my lip gloss. Sell out as soon as I announce the launchment, and i’m so grateful for it all.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I began with an Instagram business page, posting products and tagging the “For You” page. Then I added other accessory pages, and my social media grew as I kept tagging that page with creative hashtags. That’s how I got over seven hundred followers.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe my peers and social media have been instrumental in building my brand’s reputation through their consistent promotion and word-of-mouth marketing, and I feel this has significantly contributed to its growth.
