We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Breanna Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Breanna below.
Breanna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
It’s takes consistency and hard work to be successful. You don’t just become successful overnight it takes time. You have to promote and put yourself out there and get out of your comfort zone. You want to go places you never been you have to do things you never done before.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hey I’m Breanna. I’m 26 and a momprenuer to a beautiful son named Kyng. I’ve been into the hair no beauty industry for as long as I could remember. At a point I even wanted to go to cosmetology school then later figured out I wanted my own hair boutique. I was trying for years always fell short but bounced back. Soon as I had my son that was all the motivation I needed. Two months later Foreign Dreamhouse LLC as created. Your one stop hair (raw and virgin and hair maintenance kits) beauty (lip gloss lashes and shades) accessories (designer headwear) and yoni (soaps) shop. My products bring out the inner confidence for my clients, whether that’s a brand new unit, my hair growth oil growing them edges and your hair out, our custom lashes, all the way to our yoni products the girls be going crazy and they partners going crazier. I actually believe I set myself apart because I take the time the engage with my customers and create bomb content and see what my customers actually want and not just putting out things I want to. I’m most proud of our fan base and the fact we’ve shipped over 300+ orders. The support is real. I love everything about my brand. I just want y’all to know I do this for y’all and without y’all my brand wouldn’t be possible so I thank you for the support the motivation and the push to keep coming harder.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I had to learn you’re family and friends won’t always support you at first. Sometimes you have no support or strangers luckily for me I had both. But with our without the support I was going to push for my brand and help it grow.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
At first I was funding my business through my 9-5. Until my sales started doing so well Shopify started giving me capital. So grateful for that because it allowed me to take my brand to the next level.
