We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Breanna (BREE) Stocke. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Breanna (BREE) below.
Breanna (BREE), looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
The first time I truly recognized that I wanted to pursue a creative path in music was born out of a challenging and transformative experience. Throughout my childhood, music was always a significant part of my life. I grew up surrounded by music, whether it was listening to my favorite albums or singing along with friends. However, my main focus during those years was on softball. I was passionate about the sport and dedicated countless hours to practice, believing that it was my ticket to college and a successful future.
Softball consumed my thoughts and efforts, and I was determined to excel. But fate had other plans. After suffering six concussions over a relatively short period, my world turned upside down. Each concussion was a painful reminder of the fragility of my situation. The doctor’s stern warning that another concussion could lead to permanent brain damage hit me hard. In that moment, I had to confront the reality that my dreams of playing at a collegiate level were slipping away, and I faced a crossroads in my life.
As I began to step back from softball, I found myself leaning more heavily on music as a source of comfort and expression. I started writing songs and really loved/love the writing process of music. It was a cathartic process that allowed me to navigate the uncertainty and disappointment I felt from my athletic career ending.
It was during one of those late-night jam sessions in my room, that the realization struck me: music was not just a hobby; it was my calling. I felt alive in those moments, and I began to understand that my passion for music had always been there, waiting for me to embrace it fully. It was as if God had redirected my path, allowing me to discover a new kind of fulfillment.
From that point on, music became my focus and my guiding light. I knew that pursuing this artistic path was my true purpose, and I started to envision a future where I could share my love for music with the world. The journey was unexpected, but it ultimately led me to the realization that sometimes, the most profound shifts in direction can reveal our true passions and potential.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello Everyone! I’m BREE, a singer-songwriter from Pittsburgh, PA. My journey into music began in my childhood, inspired by my dad always singing around the house and introducing me to his favorite artist and songs. Those early days of singing along with him ignited a passion that has only grown stronger over the years. Once I got my first guitar, i knew music was an important part of my life. Although it wasn’t until middle school I started to take it seriously.
When I got to High School, I immersed myself in music classes, dedicating my senior year to honing my craft. I was writing music daily, and while my early efforts were typical of a beginner, I refused to give up. With persistence and practice, I improved and eventually gained the confidence to record my first single, “Buzz Aldrin”.
My music is an eclectic blend of styles, influenced by myriad of artist I admire. This diversity sets me apart, as I strive to create unique sounds that resonate with listeners. I aim to solve the problem of finding authentic, heartfelt music that connects on a personal level as well as music that I make to glorify and praise the Lord.
What I’m most proud of is my growth as an artist and my determination to get better. I want potential fans to know that I’m committed to my craft and ready to share my music with the world.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Absolutely! My creative journey is driven by a deep sense of purpose and passion. First and foremost, I make music because it serves as a therapy to me. It’s a powerful outlet that helps me process my emotions and experiences.
Additionally, my music is a way for me to praise the Lord. It’s my way of expressing my gratitude and sharing my faith with others.
One of my biggest goals is to connect with others and let them know they are not alone in their struggles. I want my music to be a source of comfort and understanding for anyone who may be facing difficulties. As well as my music being an escape from reality for a short period of time. Ultimately, I just love making music, and I truly believe that God has placed me on this path for a reason. Each song I create is a step in fulfilling that mission.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the journey of self-discovery and growth that comes with being an artist is profoundly rewarding. Each song I write teaches me something new about myself, my experiences, and the world around me. It’s a continuous process of exploration and evolution, and I cherish the opportunity to share that journey with my audience.
