We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Breagan Pittman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Breagan below.
Breagan, appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I wish I would have started sooner so that I could have my clientele built up and the time before I had my baby to be as creative as I can be with all the time in the world to do it. I started professionally doing makeup three years ago, just got engaged, not a care in the world just a helpful push that finally got me going and I love it.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am a makeup artist, but also a first grade paraprofessional for my full time job! I’ve always been interested in makeup, but never had the time between school and sports. Once I graduated high school all of my friends went to school out of town so I had nothing, but time to myself. I am a self taught makeup artist all from watching YouTube videos in my free time. I post pretty frequently on my two Instagram accounts of my work!

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Stop judging and bullying. There is more I would like to do in my line of work, but I don’t have the confidence to do it because of judgement. I’m from a small town so people talk. We need to be kinder to each other.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I love what I do, but my dream is to work from home and be with my child whenever I want based on my own schedule.
