We were lucky to catch up with Brandy Henry-Linton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brandy , appreciate you joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
I consider myself to be the wild writer who loves pushing the threshold of what writing should be and making it my own. I believe in the art of self-expression and doing what makes you happy as well. Therefore, when creating a name for my company, I chose words that symbolizes what I think writing and I had in common. Being wild isn’t a bad thing. You can be wild about your future, your dreams, your art, your family…any and everything. I believe it shows how passionate you are and how DIFFERENT you are! Being different isn’t a bad thing either. It’s what makes us unique and special. Wild Writer Creations is a company that embraces the differences, the weird, the corky, the everything and anything we believe ourselves to be.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Young Bird Series: The Young Bird series is a trilogy of a young woman who is determined to live her life on her terms regardless of the consequences she faces and the hearts she breaks in the process. It’s a great read for THE young adult + crew, who love cliff hangers and things that make you squeal.
Wild Writer Creations: A custom stationary company that specializes in custom notebooks, notepads, bookmarks, manuals, etc. Whatever you can dream up, we take pride and bringing those visions to life!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the journey and seeing my growth. I strongly believe you can always learn more and become greater than you already are. In this realm of business and writing, I’m constantly learning more about myself and my craft and the change it not only brings in me, but those that I work with on a day-to day.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
To my non-creatives, I would say this: Be open to the world around you. You may not understand everything that you see and hear but learning is how you thrive. Information about different aspects of life and the journey or work of others brings you enlightenment. It feeds your soul. It may open you up to something that you could learn to love and make your own.
