We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandon Wilds. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandon below.
Brandon , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Wild House Recordings was first a radio show, interviewing and showcasing the indie and underground talent in New York City. The radio show discontinued so I can focus on my studies while attending LIU Brooklyn while pursuing my career in photography and film. Once the show ended, I was determined to bring back my brand, reinvented.
Brandon , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Wild House Recordings is a production company, providing services in photography and cinematography. We specialize in music videos, documentaries, live events/concert photography and creative/conceptual photoshoots. Located in Atlanta, GA but we travel and do work throughout the south east region.
In the future, Wild House will host events and open the department for audio production and graphic design. Wild House will also have products for sale as canvas prints, and clothing merchandise.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Good things comes to those who wait. That is a false narrative I wish I did not learn so early in life. Great things comes to those who hustle. The people who are persistent with chasing their goals and dreams. If you want anything in life, you have to chase it and work for it. I thought having a nice camera, clients will fall into my lap. Another time in life I was wrong. I had to prove to the world and people I’m targeting, I am a great photographer. Sometimes that meant working for free to describe my work ethic
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My audience from social media came from networking and attending events. Guerilla Marketing is still key. Growing a brand/business, you must go outside, put on your best attire, smile, meet other business owners and potential clients, shake hands, collaborate with other creatives. Having a social media is more than sitting in front of a laptop or cellphone and posting multiple times a day. That is cool too, but having people feel your passion when they meet you, that leaves a bigger impression.
