We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandon Wayne. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandon below.
Hi Brandon, thanks for joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
For me, the journey from idea to execution was all about following curiosity and being willing to figure things out as I went. I always have a job where I worked for myself, and that desire only grew stronger in my late twenties. Working in restaurants for
18+ years showed me that I didn’t want to spend all of my life working in one. That realization, along with a bunch of personal development books, really flipped the switch and made me realize that if I wanted to build something of my own, I needed to get
started.
I remember reading Rich Dad Poor Dad around age 33. The author talked about having a secure job in the military, but how he knew he always wanted to own a business. He realized the way to do that was to learn sales. That hit me hard. I thought, if I want to
own my own business, I have to learn sales first and foremost. When my restaurant career ended, I jumped into sales headfirst. When I first got into sales, I learned all the basics like cold calling, knocking on doors, and handling rejection. Those were important,
but the biggest lesson came from developing a real feel for sales itself. Over time, I started to understand the rhythm of it, knowing when to follow up and when to give space, recognizing when someone was serious and when they weren’t, and finding that balance
between persistence and pressure. Those instincts became just as valuable as any sales technique. It was tough but invaluable.
About three years in, I stumbled into print brokering as a side hustle. Someone needed a print job, so I dove into Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to set it up. That reignited my love for art and creativity, this time using technology as my canvas.
From there, I started taking online courses, teaching myself design, and eventually shifted from brokering to doing the actual design work. The leap to running my own business was risky. I burned the ships and went all in. There were lean times (I even drove
for Uber to keep things afloat), but I stayed resilient and kept learning. A major turning point came when a client asked if I could wrap a vehicle. I’d never done it before, but I said yes and figured it out on the fly. That project was eye-opening; seeing
my design come to life on a massive canvas was incredibly rewarding.
Since then, I’ve invested in professional training, equipment, and learned every part of the process – design, print, and installation – so I can guarantee quality and reliability for my clients. For me, execution isn’t about having all the answers up front;
it’s about saying yes, being resourceful, and never losing sight of the passion that got you started.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My journey really started in the restaurant world, where I learned the ins and outs of business from a great mentor (the restaurant owner that took me under his wing). I’ve always been drawn to art and creativity, even though I never considered myself an artist.
For one thing, I couldn’t draw to save my life.
A few years later, I found myself brokering print jobs on the side. That first project forced me to learn design software, and it just clicked. I rediscovered my love for creating, this time on a digital platform. I poured myself into learning design, moved
from brokering to designing, and eventually took the leap to start my own business.
Today, my company, PEAK Wraps & Graphics, specializes in commercial vehicle wraps, storefront wraps, vinyl graphics and commercial printing. We’re one of the few shops in Las Vegas that can handle everything in-house. What really sets us apart is our commitment
to customer service – fast, clear communication, accurate quotes, and a focus on using only the best materials.
I’m most proud of the resilience it took to build this business. There were plenty of times I was told to quit (not only from others but from my own inner dialogue), but I used that as fuel to keep pushing forward. That competitive drive, paired with a genuine
desire to help businesses look their best and grow, is at the heart of everything we do.
What I want people to know about my brand is that we treat every client like a partner. We take pride in our work, our communication, and pay attention to the details that others overlook. Our reviews reflect that commitment. We’re not the cheapest or the most
expensive, but we care deeply about doing things right.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
One thing that has helped me immensely with productivity and getting more done in less time is AI. A book I highly recommend is The AI Driven Leader. It really transformed how I look at AI and how I use it. The key lesson for me was that AI shouldn’t be judged as right or wrong, but instead used as a thought partner. That concept really stuck with me, and the book does a great job of breaking it down.
Beyond that book, I’ve gotten a lot of value from using custom GPTs. I basically took my whole sales process and built it into a custom GPT. I also created another one that generates quotes based on measurements. I just answer a few structured questions and it gives me back a price on a job almost instantly, with hardly any mental energy spent. My sales process GPT also acts like a virtual sales assistant. If I bring on a VA, they can drop an email inquiry into it and it will generate a reply in my brand voice.
Speaking of brand voice, I even used GPT to scan two years of my emails so it could help me create a consistent voice for my business. That has been huge for keeping my communication aligned.
Another AI tool I use a lot is Google’s Notebook LM. It’s very powerful. You can upload books, documents, or your own processes, and it will not only generate content from them, but also create quizzes, study guides, or even a podcast based on that material. For me, it’s been a great way to organize systems, train new team members, and turn large amounts of information into something usable right away.
AI has really become my biggest resource. It helps me move faster, stay consistent, and free up time to focus on the bigger picture.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I first started out, I was helping local businesses with flyers, business cards, and basic graphic design. I LOVED the creative side, but I learned pretty quickly that small jobs and long approval cycles slowed everything down for me and for my clients. I tried pivoting into web design to make a bigger impact, but that’s when I discovered something that fit me even better: vehicle wraps.
Wraps just clicked. The return is instant – curb appeal, phone calls, brand credibility the moment that vehicle hits the road. At the same time, it let me dive into the craft itself. The materials, the precision installs, the alignment, the finish, the durability. There’s a real art to making vinyl look like paint, and I fell in love with that.
Was it also a business move? Of course. I wanted something sustainable where I could deliver more value, faster. But it wasn’t about pivoting away from passion. It was about moving toward the kind of work where my skills make the biggest difference. Today, I’m locked in on flawless installs and responsive service because nothing beats watching a client drive off looking unmissable. That never gets old.
