We recently connected with Brandon Tetrault and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brandon thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I first knew I wanted to pursue a creative path when I was just a little boy. For instance, growing up I was always creatively inspired by my grandfather, he is a realism painter and always influenced me to live creatively and freely. To illustrate, him and I have always lived together here and there and our living space is filled with amazing and vibrant paintings that he has done over the years. Over the past 5 years i’ve come to fall in love with creating art digitally, either it be photography, graphic design, clothing design, acting, and video production. I personally never knew what specific route I wanted to take in life until recent years but, i’ve always known my path will lay out to be creative. Once I started to take the steps into my creative career not everyone in my family was so sure of the choice I was making, my grandfather saw my vision from the start and has been my biggest supporter from the get go. Recently I just signed to a clothing brand Stoefs Studio to be the COM (Creator of Media). This career path gives me full creative freedom in creating digital art for the brand to show to the mass public, and to generate traction to the company!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
A little about myself, I am a 23 year old creative from Tampa, Florida who lives and breathes what I do! I have taught myself everything I know through many trials and errors to get to the point I am now. I find absolute satisfaction in creating the best art for my clients and share their story along with mine through my visions. I first got into the digital industry from my good friend Ryder, he is a musical artist and needed a photographer/ videographer to help push his agenda. I basically got thrown into the wonderful world of digital media before I even had a set goal on pursuing it. I have a wide range of services from photography, graphic design, videography, clothing design, acting, and modeling. I shoot music videos for many artists around the US! My photography work ranges from clothing, branding, modeling, and creative experimental shoots. The style of my work is more of a grunge punk feel that gives an intimidating and rebellious feeling. I think what separates me from others is my true genuine passion to create digital art for each and every one of my clients. When a client first contacts me for work I hear their story and get to know who I am working with so I can create them art that is specifically who they are. What I am most proud of, is my vision for creating a project and successfully executing it the way I picture it! One thing I want my peers to know about me is I don’t take life too seriously, I am a person who lives to create and to help others with their creative visions! There is room for everyone at the top and I want to see everyone be successful and happy with who they are! My work is truly who I am and I take absolute pride in what I do and who I do it for.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is getting feedback from my clients! After hours or even days working on a project with a client and having it turn out even better than they expected is the best feeling knowing they’re thrilled on the work we put in together. That feeling is the reason i wake up everyday!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The mission driving my creative journey is to create art that is seen by many! My mission is to show my peers that you don’t have to follow into the standards the bigger influencers set, the art I make is for the misfits who feel they can’t show or produce their art because of “insecurities” of others not liking what they make. Show your art it shouldn’t matter what others think as long as you’re happy and expressing yourself! My overall end goal is to inspire and influence other creatives to be fully who they are!
