We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandon Lavorgna. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandon below.
Brandon, appreciate you joining us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest client went under basically two weeks before I was going to add to the team. It was 5 days before their next contract would kick in with me. That was THOUSANDS of dollars just poof up and gone. I felt bad for them because I had worked with them for a year. I was obviously frustrated because the timing couldn’t be worse.
However, after a few weeks I realized, I was spending 3-4 days a week with this client. That was almost 12 days of opportunities. that could be available. Through some grinding and reaching back out to old leads I actually made more and worked less. So it was a blessing in disguise, However, the person I was going to hire at the time, took a position elsewhere. So it still wasn’t 100% ideal.

Brandon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I spent nearly 10 years as a reporter covering some of the biggest stories from 2011-2017 across the country. This is where I honed my writing, shooting, editing and people skills. I transitioned from news to working for local government agencies. This is where I got more into marketing while still telling stories and honing my craft. I briefly worked for a private agency and HATED it. We were constantly understaffed and over populated with clients. I was sprinting to every meeting and always felt late. MOST of all, I didn’t feel like they supported the clients outside their project scopes. I believe when you partner with a client, you should do everything to say “Hey, this is why I chose to work with you and you’re going to know it.” I started my agency by accident in 2023. I haven’t looked back since. We’ve helped nearly 20 different companies from one person shops to Forbes recognized companies. We’ve supported and cheered on every single client as loud as we can.
I took my skills of writing, crafting campaigns, social media, and video and built a company that felt like me while helping others in the process.
The biggest problem we solve for clients is where to start with their social media. Our bread and butter is social media management. We take our time getting to know our clients and what’s important to them in the NOW. Then we craft a 30 days social media campaign or ad for them. We write every post, we shoot everything, they just have to approve it. It’s a time saver for companies, but also we hope they learn a few trick along the way.
If I’d want anything known about Superbloom Digital Consulting, it’s this one thing. We don’t over promise, however, we do everything we can to over-perform. Whether its pivoting in a moments notice because something good or bad happened within a company, rescheduling our monthly shoot day because it makes the company’s life a little easier during a chaotic storm, or simply saying “we’re not the right fit for you, but we have the perfect company you should work with.” That’s humbling as a business owner, but if we don’t think we’re the right company for you, we’re not going to ruin our reputation trying to be.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I had a few hundred dollars as start up and an iPhone 13 Pro Max. So I had to be savvy. My first set of gear, I literally bought at Goodwill. A set of tripods, lights, light stands and some reflectors. I maybe spent $55 total.
People laugh when I tell them this story.
Because in my first year, I crossed over $100,000 in profits.
Instead of spending it on myself, I put most back into my business. I bought a top of the line Sony camera, new studio lights, a drone, etc.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS invest back into your business.
Doing this allowed me to up my packages and brought me into new ventures.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I started my company in a brand new city where I had very little connections.
I cannot scream this loud enough, YOUR network are your FREE sales team.
I had to find networking groups and had no idea how to do so.
Luckily for me, a friend started a networking chapter and I was able to start building from there.
Followed by discovering new networking groups around the Phoenix area.
Now, I always have 3-5 leads in my back pocket.
