We were lucky to catch up with Brandon King Henry recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brandon King , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest risk that I’ve taken during my journey in entrepreneurship is leaving a full time job (in 2020) to solely focus on my brand. I worked at job that was demanding and took up most of my day and by the time I’d get home, I was exhausted from my shift. Good thing was, I’d launched my brand and it was so hot and was bringing in plenty of revenue that I could step away from my 9-5 and maintain.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Brandon King Henry and my brand is called Gentlemen’s Creed. I specialize in men’s accessories, fedoras, ties, handkerchief, socks, cufflinks, wooden watches, lapel pins, etc. Creating a look for any event or function: red carpet event, gala affair, church, prom, job interviews. I got you covered!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect to me is to see people wearing something that was originally an idea that came from my mind! Like, I designed the hat or tie set that person is wearing! How cool is that?! That’s extremely rewarding!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built a solid and supportive audience on social media through being down to earth and personable, being willing to communicate and elaborate. Secondly, being consistent and having a good marketing campaign. Most importantly, having quality product and rendering excellent customer service. You want every encounter to feel like an experience to the client. You want them satisfied and happy with the service.
