We were lucky to catch up with Brandon Jay recently and have shared our conversation below.

Brandon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was a few years ago when I was offered a massive sum of money in exchange for 51% of my company. A decision where I made a concrete maneuver to kindly decline on the deal because I weighed the pros & cons to help me better make my decision. I can honestly say it was a wise decision because had I chosen to take the deal I would not have IMA to date. We just passed our 10 year anniversary date and our team is only looking to generate more productivity each and everyday.

Building a start-up is no easy task. It takes resilience, determination, persistence, hard work and faith. There are days where you will want to throw in the towel and give up. It comes down to the ultimate question are you willing to sacrifice the small things for a lifetime of freedom, working for yourself while helping others. When I started IMA in 2013 I had no clue as to the direction of where we were headed. All I knew was that I had a desire to win to make it happen and beat all odds. Hollywood taught me it’s about the people you meet. How strong the relationship is and the value that you bring to the table.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Testimonials play a pivotal roll in building reputation especially for service providers. Being able to provide a service and being a provider that’s easy to work with spreads among the community. After all word of mouth advertising is the most powerful of them all.
