We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandon Edralin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandon below.
Brandon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I first knew I wanted to pursue this path is when I was a child. I started when I was like 3 years old, and it’s been a big dream of mine ever since. I went to tons of concerts around that age growing up and thought it was the coolest thing ever seeing the performers going up there singing to a huge crowd. I enjoyed every second of every show I went to also knew the words to the songs. That’s when I wanted to become a singer songwriter. I love writing poems and songs in school as well cause it’s like therapy when you’re down, happy, or depending on how you feel. I’m sure everyone can relate to that as well.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Yes, Hi I’m Brandon Edralin and I am a 22 year old singer, songwriter, and musician from Idaho. I do switch back and forth from here and Nashville when I can to work on music since I’m in the country genre. I have been singing since I was super young when I was 3 years old knowing lyrics to songs and humming them on car rides with my mom and dad. I played the drums in middle school and guitar on my own time. My parents said I had to choose a different career path instead of singing/songwriting because I wouldn’t make it in life. So I had to take a different route and researched other jobs like people would and decided to try to become a Radiologist (still finishing up classes in college) while doing singing and everything I’m doing right now. I always loved singing for fun all the time but didn’t get serious with it until after High School which was in 2019 when I graduated. I posted me singing song covers on Tiktok in 2020 when Covid happened and that blew up. I did country and pop songs. It gained so much attraction from people and a lot of big artists I looked up too like Kane Brown, Bailey Zimmerman, Lauren Spencer Smith, and so many more. A lot of the artists started reaching out complimenting me and that’s how I knew I felt like I made it hahaha. That’s how I got into the Industry as of now I’ve been doing tons of songwriting for myself, and a lot of upcoming artists. I love connecting with other people and creating to others, express how I feel, and providing moments everyone can enjoy. Music is just so amazing to me honestly cause it can either heal people who are going through things or people who are happy loving living life.
What I’m most proud of? That’s such a good question to ask honestly thanks for asking it. I’d have to say my supporters to be honest cause I wouldn’t be here without them. From cheering me on when I was super depressed wanting to give up on life when I went through bullying, narcissists relationships, racism, and so much more. To bringing me here where I’m at now in the industry living my childhood dream being happy. I’ve met so many amazing people and glad I can bring joy from the music I write. Also, hopefully music I release eventually which I’m working on right now since most of it has been writing for other artists.
lots of my supporters have been waiting forever for me to release lots of my stuff so that’s the main focus. I owe my life to social media it’s been the best way to connect with people and share. I love them so much. I’ve performed some of my songs at a lot of good venues and made some good connections with the people in audience even online! I want followers & potential clients to know to the main things about me is music is literally amazing in my life bringing us all together as one. Music I write and currently planning to release come from my heart, and personal experiences my life that I hope some people can relate to in life. Then, lastly bring healing to everyone since I write a lot of sad breakup songs I went through in my life. That people can hopefully relate to in the past life or what they’re going through now.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to just get my music released. I’ve been working so hard on getting everything out, but I’ve had producers turn their back on me and disappear. Also, have producers not getting back to me when they said they would. That’s all my country music though so I’m making a little transition to pop music so see if anything will work out the way I want too.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A story from my journey that illustrates my resilience well… it’s a super long story but as I said before I’ve had producers turned on me. A few producers who took my money when they said they would get my projects done. They all said they sounded like songs that would be on the radio to be honest. That took a few good record deal opportunities away from me because the songs never got done from the producers. They just disappeared and never heard from any of them. This all happened right after quarantine to the year 2021. I didn’t let it get to me though I just got back up and started performing at venues even though I wanted to give up. Then I got an email from a super big label that I am currently in talks, and they’re being super patient with him which I’m super thankful for. I wanted to share this because no matter how hard life gets.. never give up and chase your dreams. As tons of people would say one door closes and a million others will eventually open up. Keep on pushing on your goals and believe in yourself!!!
