We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brandon De’sean a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Brandon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

It’s other things I wanted to do and still to this day but I always knew really. It’s just so much things I can do professionally and not have stick to one certain thing. It reminds me of a creative freedom that I feel like everybody deserves to grasp at least once. I love the overall history behind music also, I like studying it like everyday and it doesn’t feel like I have too or I’m being force to do it.

Brandon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am Brandon De’Sean a hiphop/rap artist that can flow off a diversity of beats in almost any genre. What sets me apart is my passion and love for the art. I just started curating and hosting shows too so I’m proud of that and actually finishing up my first project. What I want followers & fans to know is that if you’re reading this I LOVE YOU.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

You don’t have to be at every show but at least show us that you care about us or even care about our passion for it. Share, buy, help, be happy for us, be our eyes and ears sometimes too, even be a muse for us artist. Some of us have nothing and be lost and depressed so music is what we used to cope with things. Some of us do you because we see sounds and understand the waves musically. Some of us it’s our natural passion. Just stop being judgmental and please stop comparing artist that’s annoying also. One last thing to say too is to help uplift us because that’s how we will all make it. SUPPORT!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I just want to keep being great. I always have new ideas and future goals that makes me keep going for inspiration. Making quality music drives me creative mentally.
