Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brandon Delgado. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brandon, appreciate you joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
BTIXist Productions started from a simple idea that grew over time. I’ve always been into storytelling, whether it was writing, designing, or making short films. But in 2020, things got real. I decided to take some money I made from the stock market and put it into making my first short film. That’s when it hit me. I wanted to do this for real.
The day I committed to making that film was a mix of excitement and a bit of panic. I had the story in my head, but now I had to figure out how to actually make it happen. So, I spent that day diving into research—everything from casting actors to renting gear and managing a budget. It was a lot to take in, but I loved every minute of it.
The next few months were all about learning by doing. I had to figure out how to keep the budget in check, coordinate a team, and handle the technical side of filmmaking, all on a tight budget. There were definitely moments where I wondered if I could pull it off, but I kept pushing through. Mistakes were made, but I learned fast, and by the time we finished filming, I knew this was what I wanted to keep doing.
After finishing the short film, I realized I didn’t want to stop there. I started thinking bigger. That’s when the idea for BTIXist Productions came together. I didn’t just want to make films. I wanted to create a company that could support other creatives in Dallas too. But I knew I needed to get the basics down first.
The next year was all about getting things in order. I spent a ton of time learning how to actually run a business, like registering the company, writing a business plan, and finding people to work with. I started networking, set up a website, and slowly began building a presence in the local community.
As things started to come together, I got curious about other creative avenues. In late 2023, I got into app development, which led to the creation of the Sølsk dating app and music creation, which has led to about 6 albums and countless singles and E&Ps, all under my company name. These were all a whole new ballgame, but I was all in. I had to learn about designing, developing an app, mixing and master, putting together a team, and trying to make something that really stood out.
Now, BTIXist Productions is more than just a film production company. We’ve branched out into app development, venue rentals, music production and more, all while sticking to our passion for storytelling and helping the local community. The journey from idea to reality wasn’t easy, but every challenge taught me something important. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m excited to see where we go from here.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a determined risk taker. When I get an idea, I zone in like a dog with a bone and put in maximum effort to turn that idea into reality. Because of the skills I’ve learned in life, mainly technology related, I have been able to seamlessly turn ideas into reality. My tech literacy, thirst for knowledge, discipline, vision, and much more have allowed me to explore multiple “hobbies” and turn them into viable products for my company. These include films and albums, with mobile apps and venues in the works for the future.
What sets my company apart is the fact that it can be classified as a “one-man company”. That is to say, everything about the company and its operations are the result of one man’s labor.
I am proud of the catalog of music and films that my company has produced and provides for my community. I want my followers to see what one person is capable of producing for their company with just motivation and knowledge.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
During production of our mobile app, “Sølsk”, I hired and assembled a small team to help develop the app. Progress was made and a foundation was laid during the time we worked as a team. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, my UI designer had to leave the project. Then, due to financial reasons, my lead developer also had to leave the project. Both left on good terms, and also left me a foundation for anyone else to join the team and resume from where they left off. Due to my own financial reasons, I would not be able to hire anymore employees.
Despite all this, I did not, and do not, like to give up. So, to this day, I continue working on Sølsk all on my own. I have expertise in UI design and graphic design which allows me to continue working on the app through Figma. My goal is to have a working prototype ready for investors or a new lead developer. Something promising and polished.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I recently had to pivot away from art as my career path. Make no mistake, it is still very much THE focus of my company- producing art such as film or music, but my source of income has convinced me to pivot away from art as a career. I have made the decision to return to university and pursue a career in law as I have a deep fascination for the intricacies, language, and impact of the law. As with me and all my goals, I aim very high, and therefore, my aim, even if far into the future, is to become a constitutional lawyer.
