Brandon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe it takes hard work and consistency to achieve success. I’ve been able to build an audience of over 200k on Tikkok and 140k subscribers on YouTube. Yes in a way, you can say that i have had success with building an audience on both of these platforms, but the way i see it; you always have to stay hungry and not be satisfied with your current achievements. When i reached 100k subscribers on YouTube, it only motivated me to keep working to reach bigger numbers. Same with on Tiktok. To achieve more success, you need to continue working. I’ve seen alot of anime series and there’s characters within these series that inspire me to push past my limits to obtain what i dream of.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m just a guy who admires the Japanese culture and the series that are produced over there. I make news videos centered anime and manga and i’ve been able to build an audience of currently 200k followers. My username is Goatbrandon. The reason why i chose this name is because Goat stands for Greatest of all time. My name is Brandon. I want to be the greatest at what i do and that is making anime news videos. What i’m most proud of is that i’m able to be a source of information for thousands of people in the world.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I would say the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is that you get to do what you enjoy doing.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I’ve seen some comments on social media where some people say being an influencer isn’t a job. These people don’t realize how much work goes into making videos they see online.
