Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hey guys my name is Brandon Everett Baker and my stage name is REACEYUNG I’ve been making hiphop music since 1999 to present day I got my name REACEYUNG from all my previous name aliases I’ve had since I was a young artist all combined together. I’m originally from Saint Louis Mo and I wasn’t getting any play or recognition from my city so I left and went to college at Lincoln University in Jefferson City Mo there I began to build my support system. I solve the problem with my creative works by being unique and having a wholesome cultured hiphop sound that’s only created by me. I want potential followers and consumers to know that I create amazing hiphop albums from start to finish and I’ve been doing so since I was a young artist before social media is what it is today and I will continue to do so.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Things that illustrate my resilience is dealing with a market that is not used to my sound at all and taking lots of harsh criticism from them and still prevailing and reaching success by charting on billboard twice when the big city could care less what I was doing because my sound was so far removed being from where I’m from and that let me to being booked at the 46th anniversary hiphop awards show in Harlem NYC performing with some of the creators of hiphop.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes my goal is to be crowned the greatest STL emcee to ever breath and to open the worlds eyes on our cultured sound of hiphop that I possess
