Brandon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I started in this industry at a young age. I had a summer job with my uncle Naji at his print shop, All-Star Screen Printing, east of Atlanta, in the East Lake community. It was great watching my uncle, whom employed family members run multiple storefronts and street locations throughout the City of Atlanta. I learned the details of running a business, managing people, and most importantly controlling finances.

I mentioned to my wife (Nellie) in 2016 that I wanted to move forward with my screen printing business. The confirmation came when we were on vacation in Orlando, Florida wearing shirts I created that simply said (I love ATL). I had several people stop me during the day and ask where did we get it from and how could they order. This is when the wheels begin to turn. www.coveredcustoms.com was born!

The plan was how can I give someone that wants to represent the culture of Atlanta the ability to customize/purchase from anywhere without hesitation.

We take pride in our culture and this great city of Atlanta, Georgia. I searched online and found a website builder service and had a conversation with my uncle Naji on what type of equipment I would need and the business license I would need to acquire.

We give our customers the freedom to express their culture. Covered Customs is a brand that is true to the roots of Atlanta but has customers WORLDWIDE. We have you covered!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When the Covid-19 pandemic came in 2020, we all had to prioritize our personal and family responsibilities. We were able to show our resilience as a country, community, and people. We understood the importance of spending time with our loved ones and unfortunately, some businesses were not able to sustain the financial impact of being shut down.

We are 80% online based with a minimal overhead which allowed us to maintain and sustain our customer relationships during this difficult time.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Customers are looking for convenience, quality, speed to the consumer, and fair pricing. Here at Covered Worldwide, we look to provide all of the above. We believe everyone has their favorite shirt, hat, hoodie, and/or coffee mug. We hope to provide it or point you in the right direction.
