We were lucky to catch up with Brandii Branscomb recently and have shared our conversation below.

Brandii , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?

I feel most times people thought I couldn’t do things because of my size. I’ve always been a chunky girl but my mom keeps me active. I’m into a lot of things. So when people first see me they think “oh just another chubby kid” but when I show out they are always surprised. Right now I’m into music and modeling. Most label me as being “very confident” but I am just me. I love being chunky, I love myself the way I am. Being me helps motivate others to be themselves. I just want all kids to know they can do whatever it is they want, no matter how old they are.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Brandii Branscomb , for short ( Brandii B) I’m 9 years old. I’m an Author, Actress, Artist, Model, YouTuber and content creator. I’m the oldest kid so I’m always busy. I have 2 little brothers , and 2 big brothers on my dad side so I’m the only girl. My mom inspired me because she’s also an Author (Erica Lenora) artist and content creator. Doing cheerleading and creating skits for our social media pages inspired me to Act. Which led me to being signed to “Who Management” from there I wrote my first book about my experience “How I became an actress” getting bookings can take a long time so from there me and my mom became to create music and that’s when “big b” the artist was birthed. I now have multiple singles and also a song featuring Britt Barbie, the famous (period ahh period uhh) I’ve always wanted to model so my mom joined me with my now team “Doll Squad” which has opened so many doors and opportunities for me. Being a chubby model sets me apart from others and is really bringing a lot of attention to me. I’ve modeled with the famous “Big Sexy” who has walked with so many icons. I’ve traveled to Peoria fashion week which was my guest fashion show and also to Atlanta for Big Sexy annual birthday fashion show where I met many celebrities. This is just the beginning for me. I also have a business which is branded as my name (Brandii B) I sale hair bonnets, edge control tubes, sun glasses and more items to come. How did you build your audience on social media?

When me and my mom first started content creating it was hard to get viewers attention and followers. We use to try YouTube videos like the other YouTubers we watch daily but it didn’t work. We did skits, pranks, etc which was fun but it didn’t get the attention we wanted. We decided to just naturally be ourselves because me and my mom play a lot. We added my brothers in the videos also. Once we began to just record us being ourselves our views flew up. My advice is to just be you. Be yourself, and be patient, consistent and dedicated.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal for the community is to inspire other young kids. I want kids to know you can be and do anything POSITIVE in life. We are not limited because of our age. You can work hard while having fun and still be a kid..

My mission to myself is to become a famous rich YouTuber and live in a mansion
