We were lucky to catch up with Brandie Pyburn recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brandie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
I am very happy as a business owner. I do not give it a second thought about working a regular job. I remember the micromanaging I use to have to deal with. The aggravations of feeling overwhelmed and smothered building someone else’s business. I would spend hours completing task only for others to get the credit. After years of dragging my feet I finally decided that I would take a leap of Faith. I started multiple businesses and although it has been a journey. I honestly can say it was one of the best decision I have made concerning me.
Brandie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am the CEO/Founder and Executive Director of Sisterhood Through God’s Plan, Inc. a Christian Nonprofit Organization. We specialize in helping survivors of domestic violence and homelessness. I am also a Certified Spiritual Life Coach, International Motivational Speaker, and Evangelist all under the same umbrella in Outreach Ministry. I am also the CEO of B.O. S. S. Marketing designed to help advertise and promote businesses.
I have a dynamic platform that many follow online through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. I am a Published Author and Spiritual Blogger. I have been featured in many publications, articles, and magazines. My journey can be traced through Google for anyone to truly understand who I am as a person.
How’d you meet your business partner?
I have connected with several Cofounders/ businesses partners over the years. Some have been involved in the development of my own businesses, and others have just benefited from knowing me.
I am not a competitive person but I am definitely a professional person. I love to connect with winners because the motivation is unbelievable and the loyalty is real.
I have a heart to see others win so anytime I am presented with the opportunity to connect and grow with likeminded individuals. I am all over it with no hesitation.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience on social media simply by being transparent. I created videos that I knew would benefit my readers. I utilized my skills and knowledge as a marketer to brand my businesses. I studied my audience to learn how to interact with them.
The best advice I can give to anyone building their social media platform is to be Authentic and Real. When you are becoming a professional icon your main focus should be passionate and consistent. Remember it’s about the Quality of your content not the Quantities reading it.
