Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brandi Swanson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brandi thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
It may be an unpopular belief, but I believe that bigger is not always better. Especially when it comes to young couples that are trying to establish a successful future together while remaining financially responsible. I absolutely love grand weddings that make huge statements, but not if that statement is going to harm my Clients in the long run. I would never advise a couple to start their marriage off in debt just to have an over-the-top wedding. Instead I work with my Client’s budgets and bring their visions to life with that budget in mind. However, IF their budgets allow it, then we will definitely go BIG!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
After owning and operating a successful dance studio for 7 years, I decided it as time to pursue my dream of Wedding Planning! During the transitional time while I was getting certified, I worked at a local wedding venue. Once I was certified, I hit the ground running! My company offers packages from Coordination to Full Service Wedding Planning, as well as Décor. I believe my passion and authenticity genuinely separates me from other Wedding Planners. Wedding Planning is a passion of mine- I love every moment of bringing my Clients’ visions to life. Making a career out of this passion is a bonus! I am most proud that my children can one day look at me work and see that I give it my all, and that one day they too will be able to pursue their passions. I would love for my Clients to know that my heart is all in. I am willing to put in the work, because celebrating true love makes it worth it!
Have you ever had to pivot?
Covid-19 forced many business to pivot. For me, that meant incorporating Zoom Calls as a way of connecting with Clients and Potential Clients. I had always had in-person meetings- I felt like they were more genuine. However, I learned that video calls allowed both my Clients and myself more flexibility! In-person meetings are still an option, but most of the time my Clients prefer virtual meetings!
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Social media is phenomenal source for me to connect with new potential Clients, especially Facebook. It allows couples to do their research on me and my company, as well as, see a bit of my personality all before sending their first inquiry. I also get a lot of referrals from past Clients! (I have the BEST couples ever!!)
