We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandi Rhodes. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandi below.
Brandi, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
After having my daughter, I became very enthusiastic for the benefits of yoga + Pilates reformer in the work out routine. The enthusiasm turned into passion and I certified to teach both. As complimentary as the two can be, I noticed they were not generally offered together. And I noticed I often had trouble making classes because I have a young child, and I wished there was childcare available. So I decided to put the 3 together under one roof.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was an athlete all of my life. A competitive figure skater for 17 years turned…pro wrestler of all of the natural progressions! But my time in both industries wore heavily on my body. I found yoga and Pilates as a way to help repair injuries, enhance my wellbeing and mindset, and strengthen my muscles. I wanted to bring this to people who hadn’t considered these options before, whether the reasons being “not flexible enough” – not a factor by the way- or not petite and feminine enough – again, not a factor, beware of what you see on instagram! Yoga + Pilates is for everyone. And you can start anytime and get what you need from it. We look to meet our clients right where they are at in their journey, and help them get where they want to go.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth has been our best source for new clients. When someone is happy and seeing results it’s incredible that they refer other clients our way. It’s literally how we survive and why the customer experience is so important. We pride ourselves in personalized service. You shouldn’t be surprised to hear me answer the phone, or to receive an email from me. The customer matters to me and my staff, so we go the extra mile to ensure the experience is optimal.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media truly is a skill. My personal account has over 1 million followers. My studio has 5k. The two aren’t mutually exclusive. I have had to build for each one of those 5k followers and we continue to slowly build and grow. It’s important to just be authentic and that’s what we are. I don’t use wrestling photos in the studios account. That’s accruing a faux audience, as a wrestling fan outside of Georgia is likely not going to come to my studio. Instead, we paint the picture of the actual studio experience through social media.
