We recently connected with Braid God and have shared our conversation below.

Braid , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

I had to walk away from the only life I knew in the pursuit for happiness…. I can’t really explain how I got here, I just remember how it started. 2015 I was thrown into prison, long story but I did that…. While doing time, I was given a job in the salon & instantly remembered that I came from a background in hair…. So for the next 26 months hair is what I do to pass time and I loved it…. 2017 I came home, having to adapt to a survival mindset, I forgot again for months…. Until one day, I had to figure out what I was gonna do, to take care of my son and I. I instantly remembered, what I had done inside to keep my nose clean and that’s when Braid God was born….. I was alone, I was scared and had no idea what I was doing but I followed the flow of things and 5 years later, here I am

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Ok so over the last 5 years, I’ve created Braid God Hair growth cream & Braid God Scalp love oil. I also sell the Braid God stitch tools and Braid God wrist bands. I can’t really answer some of the questions bc I just don’t know, I just try to keep my mind at ease so that anything connected to me can chill as well…
Life really has its way of shaking things up, you either learn to shake or be shook..

I’m most proud of how far I’ve came. I don’t think people understand how hard it is to get anything done in this world with hate in your heart and all around you, I’m just glad I was able to transmute all that hate into something i could use to express my love, cuz for the longest I didn’t know how…. Whatever you do, don’t give up on yourself, sometimes in the end, you is all you got… Let no1 take that away ❤️‍🔥

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I post all day everyday, delete me if I’m annoying…. I live by that miss 1, next 15 mins 1 coming law…. Trust me, what’s for you is for you…. Just do you, as much as you wanna do you & your people will find you 🎉

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

consistency…. Most people don’t like change & they probably want see you at first, but trust me they will. Consistency is key
