We were lucky to catch up with Brad Hammer recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brad thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
A lot of the work I create is seen and/or promoted on social media. I carved out a niche market with the music videos I direct and produce, but realized these were not bringing in the type of revenue I wanted to take my career to the next level.
At the same time reels and TikTok had become really popular. I came up w the idea to do short form (around 1 min long) music videos but to sell a product.
Not only have they been a huge success, I also make more money, and they are easier to produce!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Although I went to school for media production, I sort of fell into creating videos. I was always obsessed w viral videos, but I thought I was going to be a photographer. I started working with a couple famous photographers doing their social media , Everything I would post would get an incredible amount of views . This was when Facebook and YouTube ruled social media.
Because of thus social media experience, I got a job at Andrew Christian (men’s clothing brand) where I started doing campy and fun gay underwear ads that immediately were getting million of views. Ever since then, I never looked back, and have been doing videos for the past 12 years.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
The first one that comes to mind is the struggles during Covid and the lockdown. I ended up directing via FaceTime and having the artist do self tapes. It was a wild time but a lot of that work really turned out great !
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I think we are all accustomed to being taught to be cautious. I think that if you want to be successful, you have to risks.
I’m still teaching myself how to get over that fear, but I think it is an important lesson.
