Brad & Blair, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
We manage our own social media. It would be very easy to outsource it to a professional but that is not in our budget. We tell our story and we’ve found ways to do that effectively. While we have no marketing training or background, we have learned plenty from the internet and teaching videos. Mostly, we put out things that we would like to see and watch and we respond to our followers in what they ask for.
Brad & Blair, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We initially embarked on this Airstream journey in February 2021 and with our first 30RB International. We have since migrated to a 27FB International.
We have been calling RV life “home” since he purchased his first RV in 2014. After meeting in Zion National Park in 2017, Blair was convinced the lifestyle was for her. This is our 5th RV, initially starting with an Coachman Apex, expanding our footprint to two different Keystone Montana fifth wheels, and now our second Airstream, we continue our full-time RV status and live the riveted lifestyle.
Brad served 24+ years, around the globe, as a U.S. Marine. Blair has been a Nurse/Nurse Practitioner for the past 12 years. Together we have logged more than 50,000 miles on the road traveling in our RV, thousands of miles backpacking and exploring the land under our feet, and countless hours skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
We have a weekly blog post that goes out to subscribers along with daily social media posts. We respond to emails and comments daily. We have options for video chats and phone calls when someone needs a more thorough conversation
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Our side hustle (traveling with our RV) is our life now that we do it full time. We turned that into a business. We provide assistance to anyone new to the community or new to exploring. We also provide assistance with upgrading their equipment. The opportunity to make it a business came after Brad retired and Blair transitioned to a travel position. This was never intended to be a business but became one. We truly do what we love to do and it’s proven lucrative.
