We were lucky to catch up with Boss Tootie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Boss, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Over the years, I seen my dad making musicand thought it was really cool and wanted to do music professionally just like him. I then came up with my own rap name, “Boss Tootie”. I did my first music feature on a song called “Burden, found on “The Requiem” album by rap legend, Griffinstein in 2021, which can be found on all platforms.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am 9 years old. I have released 7 music singles as a solo artist. I currently have three music videos; “Go!”, “Gater Gator” and “That’s Legendary (Drip Drop)” along with a host of other entertaining videos available on my youtube channel. Please subscribe to my channel and tell a friend.

I also have merch for the kids and adults too!
TinyURL.com/BossTootieMerch I have appeared on the projects of Griffinstein – “The Requiem”, Boba – “The Message” and the Holiday single by Genius Funk – “Genius Bells”. I enjoy doing fun and inspiring music for kids of all ages My music can be found on all digital platforms, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music… ETC. It is real hip-hop/rap music for the kids.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I was much younger I was afraid of large audiences and was super shy about going on stage. As I got older, I began being brave and performing in front of lots of people got easier. Now I enjoy the reaction of a crowd applauding me after a performance. I guess you can say, I have faced my fears! Now I look forward to performing in front of crowds.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
What I find rewarding about being an artist is the large amount of support I have received from friends, teachers, school staff, family and all my fans.
Being a artist has allowed me to travel and make friends with many new people. I love when fellow kids tell me which of my songs are their favorite and how much I have inspired them. It is always exciting to release new music of my own. Speaking of new music. My new single, “Just Like Magic” drops Friday, Feb. 24, 2023 on all digital platforms! Get ready!!!
