Hi Bonnie, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

When I think about what I want my legacy to be, it’s important to me that people feel welcome and at ease in my presence and in the spaces I create. I want to be remembered for bringing people together, creating connections, and fostering a sense of belonging in both my personal and professional life.

However, the most profound and cherished part of my legacy will always be my four beautiful daughters. They are the heart of everything I do, and watching them grow into kind, strong, and compassionate individuals will be the greatest testament to the life I’ve lived. Through them, I see the continuation of the values I hold dear—the importance of family, love, and community. My daughters are my greatest gift to the world, and their lives will carry forward the love and purpose that has defined mine. Ultimately, I hope that through them and the people whose lives I’ve touched, my legacy will be one of kindness, connection, and lasting impact.

Absolutely! I’d be happy to introduce myself and Aqua 4 Pool Design to those who may not have heard of us before. My name is Bonnie, and I’m the founder and creative force behind Aqua 4 Pool Design. I’ve always had a passion for designing outdoor spaces that bring people together, and it was this love of connection, along with my creative eye, that led me into the world of pool design. What started as a child, when my parents built a pool at our home, grew into a full-scale business where I help clients turn their outdoor dreams into reality.

At Aqua 4 Pool Design, we specialize in creating custom, luxury pools and outdoor living spaces that fit seamlessly into the overall design of our clients’ homes. Our services include not only pool design but also the curation of thoughtful funcgtional outdoor living spaces—think summer kitchens extending your indoor space outside, fire pits to warm up and chat in the beautiful fall air, seating areas for connection, and so much more. Every project is unique, and we take pride in offering tailored solutions that align with our clients’ visions and lifestyles.

One of the key problems we solve for our clients is guiding them through the often-overwhelming process of a major home project. From start to finish, we handle the details—working with the best contractors, ensuring everything is up to code, and managing the project timeline—so our clients can focus on enjoying their new space. What sets us apart is our commitment to personalization and the personal relationships we build with our clients. We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

The story of how Aqua 4 Pool Design grew our social media presence is rooted in one key principle: connection. We realized early on that people don’t just want to see beautiful pools and outdoor designs—they want to know the people behind the work, the faces and stories that make it all happen. So, we made a conscious decision to invite our customers into our world, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at who we are, how we work, and what drives us.

We began by diving into the world of social media growth strategies, learning how to engage with our audience in a more authentic and meaningful way. Instead of just showcasing the finished product, we started sharing the journey—the process of designing, building, and perfecting each outdoor space. Our team members became a key part of the story, introducing themselves and sharing their passion for the work they do. We posted videos of behind-the-scenes moments, from design brainstorms to site visits, giving our audience a real sense of what it’s like to work with us.

What we found was that by offering this inside look, we were able to build deeper connections with our followers. They weren’t just seeing a company; they were seeing people—people who cared about making their dream spaces come to life. This transparency and openness helped create a community of clients and followers who felt like they were part of our journey, not just spectators from the outside.

By learning the ins and outs of social media growth and combining it with a personal touch, we were able to expand our reach and build trust with potential clients. Our followers could see not only the beauty of the work we do but also the passion and dedication behind it. Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

I believe learning is a lifelong journey, one that never truly ends. For me, the moment we stop learning is the moment we stop living. I see every day as a chance to grow, whether it’s diving into a new book, discovering innovative ways to improve my business, or finding fresh approaches to leadership and management. I like to think of myself as a perpetual student, always hungry for new knowledge and perspectives. I see learning as not just something I do to grow my business but also as a way to challenge myself, to evolve. It’s this constant thirst for knowledge that keeps me energized, curious, and always ready to tackle the next challenge. There’s always something new to discover, and that’s what makes life—and business—so exciting!

Books are a huge part of my learning journey-mostly audio books, but books nonetheless. Whether it’s a business strategy book, a guide on leadership, or even something that broadens my understanding of human behavior, I’m constantly reading to fuel both my personal and professional growth. It’s amazing how one new idea, one new concept, can shift the way you approach everything—from how you manage a team to how you run a company.
