Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bonita Smithers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Bonita , thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

Well the first right thing was, they had me 🤗. Secondly ever since I was a young girl, I knew and everybody else knew I was meant to be a Star . My mom started me off early in fashion shows and photoshoots. However it wasn’t just about the glitz and glamour, I was a Scholar in school , from grade to middle to high school! So they made sure I just didn’t have the beauty I had to have the brains to match! Fast forward through college, I’m on the board of a committee where I was the honorary member, being creative, putting on production etc. everything I was apart of , my mom and family and friends were right there to support me. Which I’m so thankful for ! Looking at My parents they inspired me to be better than them, and to always be true to myself! Learning and having the support from them still and forever will always have an impact on my journey, as long as I’m still be creative, modeling, acting.

Bonita , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hi everybody I’m Ashley Bonita and I was born and raised in Richmond Va . I got into the modeling/acting industry when I was about 15years old. I always knew as a little girl that was my passion. I’ve done the big fashion shows, the big movies and music videos. And as the years went on, fast forward to now, I still model and things, but i also have another under my belt. Which is to better serve, protect, and educate the community. I’m your very own Life Agent ! I help families protect their love ones and build financial stability and wealth. Yes I help families get policies, as week as investments , that will create generational wealth.. the things that set me apart from everyone else, is that everything I do comes from love and be place in my heart to help others with peace and security. I have always loved helping other’s, and not for the money. I do it because I care . A lot of people do things to make a living not because it’s their passion.
I’m most proud of the hearts I’ve touched over the years, the little things I’ve done to make a difference in someone day, or just the encouragement I’ve given out that change a person perspective! I take pride in whatever I do. I do instacart sometimes on the side, and I have a 5.0 star rating because , I shop for people groceries as if I was shopping for myself. It may not be a big deal to some but it’s a big deal to me, knowing I have satisfied customers, which their tips reflects! So having me as your life agent will benefit you more then it will benefit me, just imagine if I take instacart that serious, imagine how serious I will take you as a client, to protect your families future!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

On this journey from the modeling and acting world. I’ve been told no many of times. And everybody knows when it comes to that, some people wants a certain look! And if you don’t have that it will be a no for you , but that didn’t stop me , I just kept auditioning until I was someone’s cup of tea! And now with social media, you look and see many people with these things? And you say I want that , how do I get that? When no one wants to shows you or educate you on something you don’t know, it can almost make you give up. But that’s why when things like that continue to happened. You have to take matters into your own hands. So I stood my ground, I then started realizing what I’m worth. And I’ve made the decision to be free lance and be my own boss! When you walk through the fire, put water on you first, meaning water your first, so when that fire touch you, it’s not painful, it’s hot but you can get through it !

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Yes to make sure I touch as many people as possible. People need to know and understand having life insurance is a necessity just like having rent, car insurance, health insurance, dental insurance. People often think it’s too expensive but it’s really not . And once they wrap their heads around that it’s not, more people will get it before it’s too late
