We recently connected with Bobby Maximus and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bobby , thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Fitness isn’t just my career. It’s my passion and purpose.
When I was 15 I struggled. I was bullied heavily and lacked confidence.
After a group of bullies broke my collarbone I joined the Wrestling Team and began training.
As I got more fit, and improved, my confidence, and my life improved.
Fast forward and fitness had led me down the path of living a dream life.
I witnessed first hand how fitness changed my life or the better in numerous aspects.
I began training other people and I saw how it changed their lives as well.
I really believe fitness has the transformative power to make your life better in all aspects.

Bobby , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Bobby Maximus. I fought in the UFC, won submission of the night in the UFC, am a World Masters Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I have been named one of the 100 Fittest Men Of All Time by Men’s Health.
I have been published numerous times by Men’s Health, done Corporate Keynote Speeches at some of the World’s biggest companies, and I am a full time content creator.
Through it all the goal has been to inspire and instruct others on how to use fitness to elevate their personal and professional lives.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The key with social media is consistency.
I wish their were some secret, or hack, or trick to share but really it comes down to dedication over a long period of time.
My advice to people starting out. Post every day for 1 year. That’s the minimum commitment.
Do that and you’ll win the social media game.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I was always taught that the more hours you put in, the earlier you wake up, the harder you grind, the better you will do and the more successful you will become.
Untrue.
The key is to work smarter, To maximize your potential, and protect your resources.
There’s no extra reward for hours worked.
The key lies in efficiency and tasks completed.
Focus on productivity, not hours toiling away.
