We recently connected with Bobby Blasey and have shared our conversation below.
Bobby , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
In my business, what it takes to be successful is simply caring about people. Understanding that they look to you for help during one of the most stressful transactions of their lives. They need to know that you have their best interests at heart every step of the way. I was told a long time ago that if you make caring for your clients your primary focus, success will naturally ensue.
Besides caring about my clients, which is my number one way to be successful, you also need to have very good time management skills. You need to be able to negotiate effectively, constantly understand the ever-changing real estate market, and know how to properly market properties and yourself. Additionally, you need to build trustworthy partnerships with lenders, inspectors, contractors, and many other people who can assist your clients during a real estate transaction.
Bobby , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Before entering the real estate industry, I spent about 15 years in the restaurant business—an industry I still hold dear. However, when COVID hit in 2020, we were the first to lose our jobs. Experiencing a sudden change in my life prompted me to consider a shift to a different industry, one where I could continue helping people and utilize my customer service skills to bring joy. With several family members already involved in real estate, I had the opportunity to shadow them. It didn’t take long for me to realize that becoming a real estate agent was my calling. I obtained my license in September 2020, and since then, I haven’t looked back!
Upon entering the real estate industry, I discovered how little I actually knew about a real estate transaction and the considerable benefits of owning a home. It was something I was never taught or even considered in my early life, and I felt that this knowledge gap had caused me to miss out on numerous opportunities to build wealth. Recognizing this, I knew instantly that I wanted to share everything I learned with friends and clients through my business. My goal is to teach people about how owning property can genuinely benefit them and contribute to achieving financial freedom.
I genuinely believe that this is what can set me apart from many other agents. I’m not just here to assist with buying and selling real estate. I aim to be a resource for my clients, friends, and neighbors, providing education and addressing any real estate needs. Whether you choose to use my services in your transaction or not, it doesn’t matter. I want everyone to feel comfortable coming to me or visiting my social media pages to find answers to their questions and to learn.
Observing the joy of my clients, particularly the first-time homebuyers, as they diligently work towards realizing their dream of owning a home is what fills me with pride in my business. When a friend approaches me with curiosity about how to initiate the home-buying process, and I can guide them from the initial step to the moment they receive their keys, that’s what makes me proud of my profession.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I would say my approach involves consistently going above and beyond for my clients. It’s about always being there, maintaining a level head during the challenging phases of a transaction, and demonstrating a genuine care for their needs. I make a point to stay up-to-date on all market trends and aim to educate people on how they can leverage those trends to their advantage. Whether it’s a buyer’s or seller’s market, there are always opportunities for both parties, and I’m dedicated to showing them how. I prioritize being available and am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my clients achieve their buying and selling goals.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The majority of my clients come from my sphere of influence. As mentioned, I spent approximately 15 years in the restaurant industry, where I had the opportunity to connect with numerous people on a daily basis. Whether they were guests or coworkers, I consistently worked to build deep connections. These relationships have played a crucial role in driving my real estate business, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without those connections.
