We recently connected with Bo Blair and have shared our conversation below.
Bo, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I was introduce to a gentlemen name Andrew O’Brien who started this dad group during Covid in Austin TX during Covid.
We connected and I was absolutely prompted by God to start the Lonestar Dads Dallas Chapter. I myself was still isolating and and having difficulty with getting back out and living life to the fullest. So I chose to invest in the men of the Dallas Metroplex. because this was needed so many men are not getting out and connecting they work come home and repeat. The group is about community and we are truly trying to be a fountain to the community. by fellowshipping together to become better Husbands and Fathers at home. we have professional Counselors for marriage and relationships within the groups to and also for our Veteran Dads. we provide resources to our community and I believe that’s what makes it so unique. What gets me excited is that there are testimonies of connections and change within the groups. and the great thing is that when we do events and contest with the fellas inside the community group that its 100% free to all of them and that is the modal for them. We want them to enjoy the community we want to strengthen men in the marriages and create fathers that are truly loving on their children.

Bo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was truly called by God to enter into the industry in what we call Market Place Christianity. What I am most proud of is that I get to serve my fellow man and create memories with them and their families when we do events and contests. Lonestar Dads is the largest Dad Tribe movement of men rolling across the nation with 38 chapters and growing. We even have other countries reaching out because of the impact that men are sharing with each other inside the groups. its Healthy and fun.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
Funding This business was a challenge and a gamble. I knew that would have to find good business that would support and I was not in a place where I had the capital to slowly build over time with traditional marketing campaigns. So I Financed the the business buy in and went right to work building the community and looking for server based business owners that where joining the group and showing them the vision of the movement and within 3 months the business loan was paid off and a steady flow of revenue was coming in.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience on social media appealing to the women and having them share the Lonestar Dads movement with their husband and men they know. Women do this better then us men and it always takes a good women to get her man going in the right direction. I know this and have learned this with having an amazing wife that has encouraged me and has kept me on track with assisting me and I value her opinion on things.
