We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Blue Visionz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Blue, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think it takes being willing to sacrifice your time, your body, your energy, and fun…..most of the time. In whatever your doing you have to put over 10,000 hours in before you can master it. Then it’s a new world out here so you have to understand how to market yourself / business. I use to go over my friends house a lot when I was younger and I use to think they were crazy because the whole family constantly worked out all the time. Literally alll the time. And we were young, I was thinking we were suppose to be playing games but over there it’s all work. In my head I would ask my self, why they always doing the most ? Lol but when I got to 5th grade, I realized exactly why. Two of the brothers were literally the top 2 players in the whole United States for Highschool football….and it hit me, if you want something you literally have to put in blood sweat and tears. And wake up and do it all over again. They both went d1, and a few years later one of them got drafted into the NFL #7 pick. Crazy story. That’s one of my biggest inspirations, I’m glad I got to see it first hand. It gave me the drive I had today to be honest with you.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve been in my industry for about 5 years taking it serious. Im still climbing to the top and it’s an every day grind. I love the fact that I always had vision and I know where I’m going in life so that’s what keeps me motivated to keep working hard every day. I always loved music, I just never seen my self being an artist, I like to pull strings and make things happen on the business side and I’m very good at it so I found my lane directing and doing other things behind the scenes.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I learned almost everything I know from YouTube university. If you have a question, don’t be afraid to ask somebody, but definitely check for yourself first and get the best understanding you can for yourself before you ask the question. I learned early people hate having to teach somebody EVERY LITTLE THING, they would rather just fill in the dots of what you already know.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I use to be focused on working with all dmv artist until I learned the world is bigger and I was putting a cap on myself. So I started reaching out to celebrities through Instagram and other artist in other states and surprisingly they hit me right back and that changed the game for me.
