We recently connected with Blake Stargel and have shared our conversation below.
Blake , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
At 20, I moved from Omaha to Los Angeles without knowing anyone and chose to go into commission-only real estate.
At first, I was questioning the decision. It takes time to get things rolling, and early on, deals weren’t coming together. But I understood that this business compounds over time, and I kept reminding myself that if I could build something in a market as competitive as LA, I’d be able to build it anywhere.
I kept persevering, and over time it worked. I built a client base from scratch and now run a successful business in a city I love. More than anything, that experience taught me to be comfortable with uncertainty and trust myself to create opportunities.

Blake , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Los Angeles based real estate agent with over eight years of experience. I got into the industry at a young age and was drawn to how performance driven and relationship based it is. Over time, I built my business from the ground up and now work independently with a strong base of repeat and referral clients.
My focus is helping clients make clear, strategic decisions in what is often a high stakes and emotional process. Whether someone is buying, selling, or investing,
I simplify the experience, provide a defined game plan, and help them think beyond just the deal in front of them.
I am especially focused on where real estate is going, not just where it is today. I use AI tools to analyze data faster, market properties more effectively, and create better outcomes for my clients.
What sets me apart is that combination. I am highly relationship driven, but I also think long term about how the industry is evolving and how to stay ahead of it.
What I am most proud of is building everything from scratch in a city where I had no initial network. That experience shaped how I operate. I focus on creating opportunities, staying adaptable, and helping my clients think long term rather than transaction to transaction.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media has been the most consistent source of new clients for me. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok allow me to showcase listings, share insights about the Los Angeles market, and give people a sense of how I work.
Over time, that visibility builds trust before we ever speak, so when someone reaches out, there is already a level of familiarity and confidence.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Real estate is a very personal process, so many of my clients naturally become friends over time. I stay in touch by keeping things genuine, whether that’s checking in on social media, reaching out during holidays, or acknowledging important moments in their lives.
It’s less about formal follow up and more about maintaining real relationships, which is what creates long term trust and loyalty.
