We recently connected with Bill Reichle and have shared our conversation below.
Bill, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
My company’s name is Avanti Consulting LLC, and it has a very special meaning to me. My grandfather was a very hard-working man who created his own successful business called Avanti Consulting many years ago. Avanti is an Italian word meaning “to move forward.” My grandfather’s business was not the same line of work as mine today, but the message of moving forward was fitting for the mental health space. Furthermore, I wanted to pay homage to my grandfather, who passed away from a battle with brain cancer but always remained positive. My grandfather always told me and the family to “stay bright,” even as his skills dwindled in his final days. His business name and positivity are what I carry with me into every session. In closing, I chose a business name that remembers a role model in my life while spreading needed ideals to the mental health community.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Bill Reichle, and I am a mental health therapist and business owner in West Chester, PA. I have worked in school, summer school, daycare, and summer camp settings. I completed my undergraduate coursework at the University of Oregon and a master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania. I also obtained an additional master’s in special education from Pennsylvania State University during the COVID-19 lockdown.
My business focuses on helping children, families, and parents overcome obstacles. I work hard to understand each client and provide personalized solutions. I also work with schools, other medical providers, and others to help provide the best care possible. In addition, I provide staff trainings to school districts and their staff. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania and Delaware. I also have a board certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I started my career as a high school counselor in a local public school, but I felt that I wanted to continue helping more one-on-one with students/families. I decided, at the end of one school year, to leap to my own private counseling practice. This pivot greatly rearranged how I used the hours in a day. I quickly became focused on making new connections in the community and investing in the office space for clients to feel more comfortable.
This pivot was one that I have loved ever since. I have found myself appreciating the entrepreneurial side of this work too. My goal every day is to help my clients and empower them on their journey!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Early in my life, I invested my time in the local community, working and volunteering at the elementary schools. During college breaks, I would come home to work in the local classrooms to gain as much experience as possible. When I was at college, I would work at two different daycare centers to gain experience again. I knew that to be the best practitioner I could be, I always needed to learn from others.
As I would work in the daycares and schools, I would be asking questions on how to handle a situation best and advocate for when I wanted to increase my role in the setting. Staff would see that I could be trusted to help defuse situations for students and help prevent issues from starting in the first place. I always built rapport with every person in the building, from the janitors to the office staff and beyond. I wanted to be a sponge in every way possible!
