We caught up with the brilliant and insightful BIGTLK T3Z a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

BIGTLK , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I kind of knew back in high school. I was always good with writing and freestyling with my friends, but when I saw one of my closest homies actually put out tapes I was like yeah that’s what’s we really on. After that I went through my instrumentals I had wrote some songs and started recording.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is BIGTLK T3Z. Im a rapper/ producer apart of a collective group called Cook Every Day from Kansas City Mo. Like most I got my start singing in the church choir and freestyling with my homie at school and on the bus. I worked on my craft everyday and really started rapping seriously in high school and never stopped. I’ve released 3 projects in the last 3 years and like I said I’m apart of a collective called Cook Every Day. I want potential fans to know that BIGTLK T3Z is a true MC different from other KC artist and ready to captivate the world with what he has to offer.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of this for me would be performing. Being in stages rapping my songs and watching people who rock with me rapping the songs back is and amazing feeling.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My only goals since I’ve started was to be able to do music full time, travel the world and buy all my peoples houses. The last one drives me the most because I’ve been given so much I just want to give back to the folks that gave to me.
