Alright, Bibake thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Success, for me, is really liking what you do. You stick with it until you succeed. My success with “Nashrovers,” a private transportation business I started in 2022 to help locals and tourists, comes from loving my job. I’m always thinking about how to make our service better for our clients.

I learned about running a business from my dad and other family members who own businesses. I believe that if you genuinely care about your clients and provide good service, they’ll always support you. The whole world will be on your side if you’re honest and doing well in your important work.

Doing research and homework is a big part of success, too. Learning from mistakes is crucial to me. I’ve faced business failures before reaching this small success, and each failure taught me something important.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey everyone, I’m Bibake Saha, the founder and CEO of Nashrovers. I grew up in Kolkata, India, and my background is a mix of cultures. When I was young, my parents decided to send me to a Catholic boarding school, even though I was born Hindu. It was a bit tough being away from my parents, but eventually, I returned to my hometown Howrah, just across the river Ganga from Kolkata.

I finished the rest of my schooling there, with a focus on Commerce and economics. When it came time to choose a career, I picked Hospitality. I attended a Hospitality school in Kolkata, completed a 3-year course, and took part in many campus interviews. Since then, I’ve worked with well-known companies like JW Marriott, Dubai International, Omni, and more.

I lived in different places in India, then I moved to Dubai for a job, and later ended up working here in Nashville too. When COVID hit, I lost my job, so I had to find a new one. My wife worked in a construction company doing HR stuff, so I thought I could try working there to help with the bills. I did that for about a month, but then I found out I could also work as a rideshare driver for Uber and Lyft. After doing that for almost 3 years, I eventually started my own company called “Nashrovers.”

Nashville is a city known for its Country music and attracts lots of tourists. We offer private transportation in the city and nearby areas. Many people visit Nashville for the first time. One of our most popular services is Nashville Airport Transportation. With this service, we assist tourists who are new to Nashville by giving them a detailed guide on how to find their driver after landing and getting their luggage from the baggage claim at the airport. Many people have left reviews saying our service is easy and hassle-free. We understand that time is important, so we aim to make it simple for people instead of dealing with the usual rideshare apps and waiting for the driver, which can sometimes lead to cancellations.

I really enjoy my job, and I truly care about my clients. My main goal is to help and serve others. Of course, we all need money to live and pay our bills. I believe that if you do the right things at the right time, money will come without you having to chase after it. What makes us different from many other companies is our focus on good customer service.

I’m really proud that our clients trust us for the services we offer at Nashrovers.

Have you ever had to pivot?

When COVID started, I had to change my job because the places I used to work at, like restaurants and hotels, were not doing well. So, I became a rideshare driver for Lyft and Uber. In Nashville, where I lived, I mostly worked at night because it’s a city known for its nightlife. My usual work hours were from 2 pm to 2 am or even 4 am sometimes. I would sleep during the day.

Even though the streets were empty during the pandemic, I still waited for people to request rides on the app. Driving for rideshare helped me get to know the city really well, including which areas were not safe to drive in. I believe everything happens for a reason, and even though we might not understand it at the time, we might look back in the future and realize why things happened the way they did.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

People talking about my business has been a big help, especially on social media. The support we’ve received has been really incredible.
