We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bianca Smith a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Bianca thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Hello , I’m Bianca Smith and the risk I would say that I took was raising my niece . Between school and working long hours I was afraid I didn’t have the time or patience because I’m a person that always doing this or doing that . And one day I got a phone call and that was the most scariest and upsetting call that I got back in June 2023! But in my mind I said this my calling to sit down and get to know family and enjoy family . And from that day on it’s been nothing but family , I cut my hours back from the work and etc. all my life I worked and try to keep myself busy to avoid certain things that I feel like will destroy my mental health.
Bianca, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Life has been amazing so in my perspective, don’t never give up . If you want that degree, job, business, go get that! Build your social skills and your brand and a team. It do not matter what you do or how you make your money for your kids, family or etc don’t never let someone discredit you on what kind of job you have or what you selling. Personal opinions don’t matter. You can sell hot dogs on a corner or anything out your house it don’t matter as long as you get that cash at the end of the day to put that food on the table for your loved ones, that’s what really matter .
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I learned is that you gone fail as many times , but as long as you get right back up and go back for it and never give up as much as you at your breaking point , keep that faith and watch how god give you a helping hand with a second chance.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Building trust and being honest, a woman of my word. The crazy part is that a person or client might not even like you for different reasons , but that honest and being respectful goes along way, you never know who’s watching . Be mindful and Kind. Always!
