Bianca B., looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
In 2008, as the world faced the Great Recession, I took a risk that would define my life. I left a secure corporate career in commercial real estate to start a marketing agency, Seven5 Seven3 Marketing Group, with just $700. That money bought me two essentials: a reliable laptop and a plane ticket. Those items were my springboard into a new world of possibilities.
The decision wasn’t easy. I knew the risks were high, but so was my determination to create something of my own. I had a vision of not just building a business but also shaping a life aligned with my values: freedom, purpose, and fulfillment. I took that laptop, set up a workspace with a second-hand desk from a friend, and began building from the ground up.
I remember landing my first major client, ironically a commercial real estate firm. That first contract wasn’t just income; it was proof that this leap of faith could work.
Starting my agency wasn’t just about surviving tough economic times but about thriving despite them. I made every dollar count, negotiating fiercely and learning to navigate challenges with creativity. Relationships became my lifeline. My incredible mentors who guided me, my supportive husband, Roy, who believed in my dreams, and clients who trusted me with their businesses.
The lessons from this risk have shaped not only my career but also my perspective on life. I learned the value of resilience, the power of connections, and the importance of staying curious. Today, that $700 investment has grown into a thriving business that has generated significant results for my clients and brought me to the life I envisioned.

My journey into marketing and entrepreneurship began during the Great Recession when I took a leap of faith and launched my digital marketing agency. What has helped me build my reputation within my market is a relentless focus on delivering results, fostering genuine relationships, and maintaining integrity in every interaction. From the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, I knew my success would be tied directly to my clients’ success. That’s why I’ve always gone above and beyond to understand their goals, create tailored strategies, and ensure they achieve measurable results.
A significant factor in my reputation has been the incredible power of referrals. I’m happy to say that the majority of my clients come through word-of-mouth recommendations. This is the highest compliment I could receive; it means the work I do resonates and creates enough impact that clients are eager to share their experiences with others. The trust and loyalty my clients show by referring me to their networks is something I never take for granted, and it motivates me to maintain the highest standards in everything I do.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that success depends on doing everything myself. As a recovering Type A personality, I’ve always been hands-on and detail-oriented. In the early days of my marketing agency, I believed that if I wasn’t involved in every aspect of the business, something would go wrong. It felt safer to control everything than to trust anyone else with the work.
This worked until it didn’t. Like a lot of new entrepreneurs, I found myself burned out and overwhelmed, realizing that my approach wasn’t sustainable. It wasn’t just affecting my well-being but also limiting the growth of my business. I knew I needed to change but wasn’t sure how to let go.
Working with a coach was the catalyst. They helped me unpack my fears around delegation and reframe my mindset about what true leadership looks like. With time and practice, I learned to trust others and lean into the strengths of my incredible team and support system. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, as Type A tendencies don’t fade easily, but I got there. And when I did, everything shifted.
Today, I’m surrounded by a talented team. Delegating and collaborating have allowed me to focus on the big picture and grow my businesses in ways I never imagined.
