Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bianca Adams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Risk taking is the tool to propel you to your purpose. Without it, you will never touch your potential. Risk taking takes you out of your comfort zone, building new muscles (figurative) that you never knew existed.
I had to step out of my comfort zone and fall off the cliff to greater heights. The opportunity arose for me to be a vendor at a mental health summit. I have never done this before. I was nervous just thinking about it. However, I knew I had to use the nervous energy to rise to the occasion. My teammate had to travel to a new state that had no current clientele. I had to remove any shyness and meet new potential clients and expand the brand in new territory. I had to show up as the expert in my field.
I never would have gained so many new clients if I remained scared and did not take the risk of getting out my own way.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Bianca T. Adams and I am the CEO of B.T. Elite Consulting Group LLC based in Georgia. B.T. Elite is a full service healthcare revenue company that offers denial management, credentialing, healthcare claims and digital products that help healthcare providers. I have been in business since 2013. I started only in Georgia and now I have branched off to seven different states. B.T Elite hosts a team of 6 talented and educated men and women.
I grew up in a very rural area located in Northeast Georgia. I graduated with a bachelors of communications from the University of Georgia. I’m married and I have one son.
My hobbies include traveling, exercising, and sewing.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I would advise all business owners to first give the best client experience with your business. Word of mouth is a free tool to use to grow your business. Become a source of knowledge and resources to your clients. Fulfill a need for your clients. Elite business in my opinion is all about fulfilling a person’s needs. Always respect your clients. Take accountability for your actions. Building this type of reputation will quickly make you a go to in your industry and the fruits of your labor will be client overload.
All of these tools listed have been the most effective for me.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
At the age of 25 I suffered a stroke, right brian injury and congestive heart failure. My long hair was shaved and I had two brain surgeries. My recovery included relearning how to walk and regaining the vision in my right eye. The temporary loss of vision in my right eye resulted in my license being revoked.
I thought my life as I knew it ended, however it was a re-birth. Even though my body had let me down, I still had the mental confidence to push forward. I did not know what lied ahead but I did know I did not want to remain in a devastated mind frame. At the time I did not even know the word “resilience,” but I definitely demonstrated it with my actions.
I exercised my limbs everyday, I researched jobs online everyday (even though I never got one, that is how B.T. Elite started) and I leaned on my support system to get me through those tough days. I bounced back better than what I went to the hospital as. In a sense I am grateful for the experience and I am also grateful that I am able to give others hope, strength and the know how to take life’s lemons and make lemonade.
