We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bianca. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bianca below.
Bianca, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their sales to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details.
I dedicated the past 6 years of my career to Public Service, I previously worked for Social Services assisting the disabled and senior population in my community and was able to witness first-hand the need in our communities. Also, coming from an underserved family of 7, I can 100% relate and empathize with those who do not have the resources to thrive.
I built my brand to be able to give back to those who are underserved by donating 10% of our gift box proceeds to local non-profits whose goal it is to support them. In Spanish, we have the saying “hoy por ti, manana por mi” which means “Today for you, tomorrow for me.” And now it’s my turn, at 34 years old, to be able to give back at this point in my life is fulfilling and rewarding.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, My name is Bianca I am the founder of White Lily Shoppe, a clean skincare gifting service, I am a proud Latina, First-Gen American born to hard-working immigrants from Central America, who taught me strong will, grit, dedication, and good work ethic. I was born in Virginia and am the middle child of 5 siblings. When I graduated from High School, I didn’t really have direction on what the next steps in my career would be, I had to figure it out as I went. I learned early on that nothing would be handed to me, and I would have to work for what I wanted. I worked two jobs after high school to afford a car and get a better job in Finance. I paid my own way thru college and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. I eventually left Finance and entered Public Service where I found my passion for helping the underserved community.
In 2019, I began the never-ending journey of self-development, I listened to several podcasts, and read books about women who had decided to follow their own dreams and passions and this sparked a fire in me. I decided to start my own one-woman Etsy Shop selling soap party favors and bridesmaid proposal boxes while working my full-time job. At the start of the pandemic, I decided to pivot and put my entire focus on re-launching the White Lily Shoppe Brand after falling in love with the art of soapmaking and clean skincare, I used my love for nature as an inspiration for all my formulations and I re-launched the White Lily Shoppe brand in June 2021, and it took off! This year 2022 I took a big leap and resigned from my very secure Government job, and I have made this ‘side hustle’ into my full-time job, I am very grateful and proud to say that I have chosen the direction I want my life to go. It is a great feeling to create something beautiful that inspires people to care for themselves.
White Lily Shoppe is a self-care gifting Brand. We do not use any fragrance oils, parabens, palm oil, sulfates, or artificial colorants in any of our products. All of our products are vegan and cruelty-free. We are committed to eco-conscious packaging, our products come in 100% recyclable glass containers and zero plastic packaging. White Lily Shoppe’s promise is to create bath+ personal care products our customer’s can feel good about using on themselves as well as gifting, without the compromise.
What sets us apart is that we give back to local organizations in our communities that help support and empower the underserved population, we donate 10% of all gift box proceeds. We also offer a custom box-builder functionality that allows you to create your own gift boxes for loved ones.
Our mission is to create thoughtful, all-natural skincare gift boxes and inspire you to be mindful on what you put on your skin while giving back to our communities.
I hope my story is also an inspiration to the young generation of Latinas, that you can do anything you set your mind to.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I have been able to bootstrap my business with my own savings and a personal loan, which were all invested into my business. I would tell new business owners, if you don’t have savings, start little by little, sometimes you need to make sacrifices, take a luxury vacation now or invest it into the dream life you are creating with future rewards.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My focus has been to grow Brand awareness in my own community, building our reputation locally, and having clients that can vouch for you and your brand well help us scale nationwide and eventually worldwide.
