We recently connected with Be’Ve and have shared our conversation below.
Be’Ve, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
As a little girl I knew I wanted to be a singer at the young age of 8 I started singing in my home church and performing at local talent shows…etc it wasn’t until after my kids grew up I decided to take the time to pursue my dream of being in the music industry as raising my kids was my first priority, as time passed I always wrote songs from the heart, working with my son Music Producer Raquanbeats as we began cultivating our sound a sound thats not defined by one genre or tradition, we began seeking for a studio that we felt could deliver we ended up finding a local recording studio which we did a meet and greet if you will and immediately began recording single after single, sounds fun right? yes, but as you can imagine it can become very expensive investing so much finances, time and energy not knowing if people would support my sound but it was a risk worth taking.

Be’Ve, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Singer, songwriter, Be’ve, a Brooksville, Florida native, has performed in front of many different audiences during her career as a music artist. At the young age of eight-years-old and without any formal training, she would pick up a microphone at a local Brooksville, FL church and would sing every single Sunday in the choir. For the young performer, she realized at a young age that music could change the way people felt and thought about life. “I started writing music so I could impact hearts and change lives, she says”. My musical influences are Diana Ross, Minnie Riperton, John P.Kee,
Cece winans and Canton Jones. Beside her music career Be’ve is all about the community- strengthening and empowering people. February 24, 2014 Be’ve faced her hardest challenge to date, due to the passing of her mother Gwendolyn Jones a day after her birthday. Recently releasing her latest single called “Destiny”. “I realized that every time I thought about what God has done for me in spite of my trials and tribulations, they have made me grateful and honored that God choose me, she says”. Be’ve is more than a simple singer she’s an entertainer with massive crowd appeal which has her on a course destined to make an impact in the music industry.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being able to express my feelings and thoughts that somebody else may need to hear that will help strengthen their journey.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Things don’t happen the way we want them to happen, the way we think they should happen. I had to wait many years, life started happening, I started having children, I got married, and I made some bad decision that took me off my path.
