We recently connected with Beth Nettles and have shared our conversation below.
Beth, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
Nonprofit organizations working with vulnerable families—like those dealing with housing instability, foster care, or financial hardships—often struggle to get families in for appointments. Parents rely on public transportation, but it isn’t always safe or convenient, especially with young children who need car seats. Many times, families have to miss important appointments because of the lack of reliable transportation. KreweCar is working with some of these organizations to help safely transport them so that these studies can be done and plans can be made to enhance the lives of this underserved community.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
KreweCar was born from a very real frustration. As a mom traveling with young children, I was constantly battling the inconvenience of lugging heavy car seats and worrying about the safety of my kids in unfamiliar rideshare vehicles. I would often rent a car just to ensure my children had the proper car seats — a hassle that added time, stress, and costs. I realized that other families likely shared the same struggles, and so KreweCar was created to offer a solution.
We provide a specialized rideshare service that makes family travel smoother by offering vehicles equipped with the appropriate car seats for kids of all ages. Whether you’re traveling for a vacation, business, or any trip, you can now get around with ease, knowing that your children are safely secured, without the need to drag along your own heavy car seats or rent a car.
There are a few key things that set KreweCar apart from other transportation services:
– Safety First: We prioritize child safety above all. Our drivers are thoroughly screened. They provide car seats that are top-quality, industry-standard seats that meet safety regulations for every stage of your child’s growth.
– Convenience: Forget about hauling bulky car seats through airports or airports to your rental car. With KreweCar, your vehicle arrives pre-equipped with the right seats for your kids.
– Family-Focused: Unlike typical rideshare services, we understand that traveling with children requires specific needs. That’s why we offer personalized options for families, making the whole experience stress-free, comfortable, and easy.
– Commitment to Families: As a mom who’s experienced the pain points of family travel, I understand firsthand how important it is to make the journey as smooth as possible. At KreweCar, we’re not just a business — we’re a service designed by a parent for parents.
The key problem KreweCar solves is the stress and logistical challenges that families face when traveling with young children. From figuring out how to safely travel in a rideshare vehicle without their own car seats to dealing with the expense and inconvenience of rental cars, these are real barriers that can add unnecessary complications to family trips. By offering car seats, we remove these obstacles entirely, giving families peace of mind.
In addition, all rides are booked in advance so you can make your reservations before your trip and know that you have a ride when you get there.
I’m most proud of how KreweCar has grown from a personal frustration into a fully-fledged service that’s helping thousands of families. Seeing how it eases the stress of parents on their journeys and knowing that we’re making family travel safer is the ultimate reward.
Also, I’m incredibly proud of the trust we’ve built with our clients. Families choose KreweCar because they know they can count on us for not only a ride but a safe and reliable experience. We are committed to providing exceptional service, and we’re always working to improve and expand our offerings.
We want KreweCar clients to know:
– Safety is our top priority. Every ride comes with a car seat that meets or exceeds safety standards, and our drivers are trained to install and secure these seats properly.
– Travel is stressful enough. Let us take the worry out of your transportation by providing everything you need for your kids in one easy, convenient package.
– We understand families. KreweCar is designed by parents, for parents. We truly get what it means to travel with little ones and know how much peace of mind it brings to have reliable, safe, and comfortable transportation options.
– We’re here to help. Whether you need advice on the best seat for your child or need last-minute accommodations for a family trip, we are always ready to go the extra mile to ensure your experience is hassle-free.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I first had the idea for KreweCar, I could already envision how it would revolutionize the travel experience for parents. Having struggled with the challenges of flying with kids and dealing with rented car seats that were often dirty or unsafe, I felt there had to be a better solution.
After years of planning, research, and an unwavering belief in the idea, I received the necessary permits to launch KreweCar in January 2020. The idea was finally becoming a reality!
Then, in March 2020, COVID-19 hit.
The world was upended. Travel came to a screeching halt. Flights were grounded. Highways empty. The entire transportation industry was paralyzed. As businesses closed and uncertainty loomed large, I had to decide whether to give up or find a way to press forward.
I had always prided myself on my resilience and my unwavering belief that the idea behind KreweCar would eventually fill a real need in the market. So, I did what any determined founder would do: I turned inward and got to work.
I spent the early days of the pandemic honing my patience. I focused on refining the backend of the business and started building the KreweCar app. I used the quiet time to make sure the technology would be seamless and reliable when the world was ready to move again.
But it wasn’t just the technical side of the business I had to work on. The financial strain, combined with the uncertainty about the future, meant that my family had to make some difficult choices. To make ends meet, we sold our beloved home in New Orleans, leaving behind a city we love, in exchange for a more affordable life in the rural Delta area of Louisiana.
In the small town where we relocated, I didn’t have the distractions of city life. The slower pace allowed me to think, plan, and ultimately build the foundation for KreweCar to succeed in the future.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I have always been drawn to business and problem-solving, so it was no surprise that I chose to study business in college. I envisioned myself as the next great CEO wearing a power suit and contributing to something that would change the world. However, life had a different plan for me.
I found myself torn between ambitions and a deep-seated desire to help people. I shifted gears and pursued a career as a Physician’s Assistant. Throughout my career, I always had a side hustle to fulfill that creative, entrepreneurial side of me. Whether it was a handbag company or starting an annual race I was always grinding.
But as time passed, I couldn’t help but want to do something and build something bigger. I still wanted to build something that would leave a lasting mark—a company that could create real, tangible change. The idea came to me when I was traveling with my kids. I knew this was the thing I was looking for – a solution to my own problem. The existing rideshare options weren’t equipped to handle the needs of families like ours—car seats, strollers, and all the things. And so, once again, I pivoted. I pivoted away from a stable job as a PA and into the wild and risky world of entrepreneurship. KreweCar was born.
