Beth, appreciate you joining us today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
Here’s one of many amazing stories from my work as a spiritual hypnotherapist. Rose, a woman in her 40’s, contacted me for a Spiritual Hypnotherapy session. She wanted to know if she would regret not having children. She lives in Mexico City and grew up with traditional family ideas based upon her culture. Although she is not married, her family has pressured her to find a man, settle down and have children. She loves her work and has a fulfilling life as an interpreter and does not see the need to change. However, there is a question in her mind since she is nearing the end of her biological time to have her own children. We had two sessions, which are typically needed for a Life Between Lives session. In her second session, she went to a life where she was a young man traveling with several friends. He had studied languages diligently in his youth and was on his way to become an adviser. He was very excited about his opportunity. They inadvertently traveled through an area that was owned by a cruel ruler. As trespassers, they were jailed. His friends were executed, but he was kept alive and became a translator for other prisoners.
After many years, he was finally released. In that life, he regretted never having had the opportunity to fully use his gift of translating. He had been used in a cruel way to threaten and intimidate others. He died feeling as if he missed doing his life’s calling.
When in the Spirit Realm during her session, she released the feeling of regret. She came to realize that she is now living the dream that she held previously. She was also taken to a life where she was a wonderful father with many children. She could feel those bonds and feelings of love when she visited that particular lifetime.
Knowing that she had many lifetimes of experience and had those opportunities she realized that there is no requirement for her to have a partner or children in her present life. Her Guide told her: “She capable….She will have many more chances….Please don’t let her regret her life as it is right now. She has accomplished so many things that she has not been able to do before. Don’t let her doubt her feminine side. That is really essential for her.” The message was clear: she could choose whatever she wants or needs for this lifetime and should be proud of accomplishing everything that she has done!
The message was a life-changing moment for Rose. She feels resolved and has a great deal of clarity about her current choices. She understands why she has chosen her career and feels fulfilled. It was a magical journey for her – as it is for many clients to understand themselves at a deeper level and be comfortable with certain choices in this life. Clarity, peace and feeling good about life are such a gift.
Beth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My interest is in my client’s well-being and support them to achieve physical, emotional and spiritual goals. My role is often as a cheerleader for clients. Yes, there are master skills to support clients. In addition to being a Level 2 QHHT® Practitioner, LBL® Facilitator, and a BLSR Practitioner, my current licenses include being a registered nurse, licensed attorney, judge and an ordained rabbi. My role has also included being a spiritual leader for 18+ years. In addition to my commitment as a spiritual hypnotherapist, my work includes occasional work as a judge and writing a weekly column, along with many interfaith clergy, for the Reno Gazette Journal’s Sunday Faith Forum. However, my primary work is being a spiritual hypnotherapist, but also occasional work as a rabbi (weddings, funerals, life cycle events, etc.). My husband and I founded Temple Beth Or and it was my honor to be the rabbi there for 11 years; and also rabbi at North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation and the Jewish community of Elko County. Past work includes being assistant professor at the Nevada Center for Ethics & Health Policy, University of Nevada, Reno in ethics for 5 years teaching bioethics to senior and graduate students. My legal practice included primarily medical malpractice, personal injury, administrative and mediation for 25 years. My work presiding over jury trials for 10 years concluded in 2020 and now there is still occasional work for Washoe County.
Teaching has been a frequent activity in community education classes in Jewish Mysticism / Kabbalah (April 2024), Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition (June 2024) and Between Lives – What Happens? (March 2025, October 2025, April 2026) through Truckee Meadows Community College for more than 15 years. There have also been classes for birth/death doulas about spiritual hypnotherapy in December 2024 (and again May 2025 via Zoom for Las Vegas doulas), as well as teaching at Osher Life Long Learning Institute about Hypnosis and the Afterlife (July 2024).
Additional certificates include being a certified Reiki Level 2 Practitioner, certified Practitioner of Jin Shin Jytsu, +💜HeartMath® Certified Practitioner, a certified maschgicha (able to kosher a commercial kitchen), and a certified as a Functional Nutritional Informed Professional (CFNIP). I’ve also completed a Clinical Hypnosis Training Certificate for Trauma & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and completed courses in Past Life Soul Regression and Between Lives Soul Regression.
My husband and I are certified through Rouxbe cooking school in Whole Food Plant-based (WFPB) cooking. We love WFPB cooking and are avid x-country skiers. We hike and ski throughout the Reno/Sparks/Lake Tahoe area, along with our two dogs….and we’re currently working on roller skating at Roller Kingdom.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Each of my careers has led me to this fusion of various disciplines into my current work. Being a Spiritual Hypnotherapist means being comfortable with people’s most difficult moments in life and often watching them expand their consciousness right before my eyes. Being a registered nurse allows me the insight to understand the medical issues that clients face and make recommendations about alternative choices to improve their physical or emotional health. Being an attorney gives me the ability to look a problems that a client may be having from many perspectives, and to find another way to approach their challenges that may be a better strategy. It also provides me with the ability to ask endless open ended questions to drill down into a situation and get to the essence. As a rabbi, the knowledge of spiritual matters comes second nature. Most of my clients are looking to grow spiritually. They seek to know more about themselves. Expanding consciousness is an art and it’s completely evident that it’s now happening at a rapid pace on our planet!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Integrity, honesty and authenticity are key ingredients. My word is my bond. Fulfilling client’s expectations is an art…and not over promising is important. There have been a number of awards and special certifications in addition to the basic education required that also supports my knowledge base. However, perhaps the most important pieces to build reputation are the testimonials my clients post on Google Review or send to me directly post-session. Many people don’t know what to expect from spiritual hypnotherapy and are so amazed by the changes in their life following their session. Their integration process may take several days or weeks for clients to really understand themselves on a deeper level. Often the changes in their perspective are profound.
